The location to attractions such as medieval times, Knotts berry farm are all walk able. Disneyland is just a few minutes down the road. So centrally located to many attractions for family's Large rooms for a family of five and very reasonably priced . Staff at the front desk was very kind and helpful

The property it's self seemed like it was being fixed up. It seems to be an older hotel but lots of potential. Rooms were a bit dirty and things that were fixed seemed to be thrown together quickly or temporarily fixed . Mildew seemed to be building up in the bathroom

The bed was comfortable, the space is spacious and you get a nice tv, it was quiet for the most part. I like that I didn’t get woken up by room service as I usually do at other hotels and it’s quite annoying when it happens.

I wish that they locked their dumpster away and ran off the drug addicts/meth heads. There was a guy digging through the trash at 4:30 am and it woke me up, he was throwing stuff outta the trash can and my car was parked in the back lot. Makes u uncomfortable knowing that’s going on possibly while trying to sleep. Also I feel that the bathroom could be bigger, it’s a bit on the small side and the shower pressure is low and takes a minute to warm up. Also I think that there should be a designated smoking area where far along the back wall of the property, people are smoking as you are trying to walk through the side gate, I enjoy having my lungs without cancer smoke in them.

Beautiful, "Encanto" vibe. Very quiet and relaxing. Plenty of room for a family of five to stay comfortably. Hot tub was fantastic and pool area was magical. Very friendly front desk staff helped us to arrange to have a package delivered (replacement charger for Magic Bands). On a super convenient bus line that goes to Disneyland in one direction and to downtown Los Angeles in the other. We had a rental car, but it was great to have the bus option to avoid expensive parking.

The pool was very cold, although we anticipated this based on the previous reviews and the forecast. If there is an opportunity to put in a pool heater, guests like us would love it. Would have been great to have a guest laundry on site since we stayed for nearly a week.

Location is excellent. Price is excellent. The grounds were nice too. Staff was great.

Maintence of the rooms and cleanliness. Our first room had a leaky AC unit inside the room, which is fine, they moved us rooms. However, the floor underneath the unit was swollen, so you can tell it's been a problem for some time and hasnt been fixed. The room couldve been cleaner. The floor had some coffee spill marks, and the bath tub was not the most inviting. This was also apprent in the second room we moved to. The bathtub was not the most inviting there either.

The rooms seem nice. The beds were comfortable and I liked having a mini fridge and microwave in our room. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. She provided extra blankets, a toothbrush (because my daughter forgot hers) and even found a couple of plastic forks that I needed! I also appreciate being able to keep our car parked on the property while we walked to and visited other attractions in the area.

I didn’t know how to use the heater. When we first walked in the AC was on and it was cold.

I loved that the rooms were spacious and you could tell they were well taken care of. There was also renovation of some rooms happening which tells me they're working hard to reinvigorate the property. Pool looked beautiful and clean and although you could tell the property was old, it was very charming. We felt safe the whole time and the staff were very friendly. It's walking distance to Porto's and other restaurants. Two minute drive to Target, and a two minute drive to Knott's berry farm. We will be back!

The pool hours didn't start until 10 am which was a bummer because my kids really wanted to swim but the evening before was too cold and we had to check out by 11 am. It would also be awesome if they included breakfast, however, they are a short walk from Porto's which has very reasonable breakfast options so it was okay that it wasn't provided.

Great, clean, nice pool, a little tired but they are renovating. We stayed a week and wanted to stay longer. Chilled vibe and very nice looking hotel

The first room was not the best, but they kindly moved us to a recently renovated room and it was one of the most comfortable rooms we have ever stayed in. No gym currently.

I feel safe here it just me and my son on the trip we’re going to Knott’s Berry Farm. We were located within 20 makes located to both SoakCity, and Knotts. Stores and restaurants for convenience of him ride with him for five blocks.

Had a hard time getting the desk clears at night to understand. There was a problem with the room the Fossett would not turn on in the tub she’s coming just turn it it will work. She’s up coming up to the room and was very mad that you can show me how to work the tub even though it’s stuck and will not turn on.  we had a suite with a fold out sofa that had no sheets or blankets  I am getting them off of my bed and give me my son when I called the front desk. It seem like I was inconveniencing desk clerk

I love the vibe of the hotel. My kids said the lobby looked like it was the tower of terror in a good way . It has a really nice wow factor with it  vaulted, ceiling Spanish architecture  the courtyard is lovely with a beautiful fountain it has a very Mediterranean fill with its palm trees limed courtyard lots other vegetation. the pool and Jacuzzi were very nice and clean The rooms are huge with a full separate living room and bedroom. the front room has a full couch that conversion into a full bed and the rooms doors are French doors style, with wooden blinds that open towards the courtyard. It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay the beds were firm but comfortable and the bedding was nice with lots of pillows. Overall my kids and I had an amazing stay and it was very relaxing and homey . It’s a block away from knotts and a 10 min drive too Disneyland if you have a car and your going too Disney I would highly recommended staying here the vale in the big room and the price can’t be beat. Just come in with the mindset of a hotel that’s in the process of rebirth. P.s The staff was really nice and accommodating

The property is under a lot of construction. It didn’t affect us in the side of building we were staying in but the building in the back was under a lot of construction during the day . The building is old and you can see the wear and tear but the new owners are fixing it up so it can be part of the Marriott chain and it looks like they’re doing a lot of work to get that to happen. I can’t wait to see what this location looks like in a year or two. The room was or a little dirty and had some wear and tear , but nothing really major. The refrigerator and microwave where dirty but nothing really major. Aging I really think that after they are done fixing it up it’s going too shine like a new penny it is a hidden gem. Just ask for a room closer too the lobby if you plan on sleeping in

Beautiful Spanish style lobby - definitely grand! The hotel interior open space/garden/pool area is like a Panama home. All the rooms have wooden shutters on the interior windows, carved wood doors with a dark stain and Spanish style plants and garden features. We had the 2 queen beds with a sofa bed suite. The front room had a door between it and the 2 queens. The queen beds were very comfortable with a light Summer comforter. Air conditioning worked well. The front room had a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and sink as well as a small round table with 2 chairs. The sofa bed is a chaise sofa (one side is a chaise) with a double bed inside. The bathroom is tiled with one sink, toilet and a tub/shower combo and the fan worked well. The whole room has laminate planks, so no need to worry so much about bed bugs and things being harbored in carpet. The closet is larger than most and is lighted. Very close to both Hwy 5 and Hwy 91.

These are just some things to know, not a true negative from me: Floors in the room are uneven - the doors on the furniture in the bedroom kept opening due to the slant in the floor. Hair dryer didn't work. Room wasn't set up for 4 people: only 2 of each towel. Had to ask for sheets and blankets for the sofa bed. We had an event to go to and were running late when we checked in (traffic in L.A.), so we didn't notice the towels and bedding until we returned at 11:45 p.m.!
