The motel had everything you need while traveling from town to town. When you are on a road trip, you really just ask for the essentials: a room big enough for your luggages to fully open, a nice and clean bathroom, a microwave and a fridge. We found all of this at Golden Eagle Hotel.

The only downside for us was the location. We stopped in the area to visit Crater Lake National Park. The little town of Dorris is a little far from the park, but we eventually opted for Golden Eagle because of its competitive rates compared to other motel in the area and we were content with our choice. Also, we found some sketchy people walking around the Motel, especially close to our window, which was annoying.

The issues I reported previously have been resolved. The desk person was very conscientious in giving the exact price booked on Booking.com . There were no issues during the stay. This motel is the only place to stay other than a much more expensive B&B for about 30 miles around: to Weed or Klamath Falls. The lodgings are modest but comfortable, and inexpensive. I stay here in the winter when working on a campsite-like property in Macdoel. In the summer, I sleep at the campsite.

This is a nice comfortable place to stay, but it's not the pretty place you'd want for a romantic getaway with your sweetie.

When checking out, the manager of the motel, said if we needed to come back and stay another night, we didn’t need to book the room, she would just hold the same room, and that if we’re not going to be coming back, to give a call. Ends up we weren’t in need to come back, and we gave her a quick call. Super nice people, great area, quiet, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a restful night. We were very happy with our stay.

Everything was great, nothing to change.

Lowest price I find in Northern California near OR border, and yet all I need for a business stay is available while the management is extremely nice.

The town of Dorris is not very active, for instance choices of gas stations and restaurants are scarce.

I enjoyed my sleep there was no noise, the beds were comfortable, the pillows could off been a little more comfortable but they were ok, the room had a microwave and a small fridge which that was cool and the staff was respectful and nice over all I recommend this motel

the only down side was the bathroom had a funky smell but nothing that some air freshener can’t fix

Water pressure great. Staff friendly. Had ironing board, coffee maker, sink, mini fridge, cabinets, ice machine, television, dressers, closet space, writing desk

Looked like somebody punched a hole in the wall, easy fix. The coffee machine had an old coffee filter still in it.

Enjoyed our stay. The owner Rachel was incredibly nice and handled a couple of simple requests easily and without hesitation. Great to find a place to stay where the owner personally takes care of the clients and does so with such a beautiful smile.

Great location for the purpose of our visit. No stairs was also a plus. The staff was very friendly too.

It was very nice to have a coffee pot provided, but the pod for regular coffee was the wrong size. The Decaf pod was correct. Thankfully, we brought coffee. The parking spots were very tight for larger vehicles.

i like it that it was clean, well located, and everyone was nice to us and answered all our questions, it was quiet with coffee and everything working well, also the room smelled good.

I just saw that there are some things that need to be updated. Idont mind for it was for the purpose of getting some sleep to get back on the road.

It is a older property that has been refurbished well. Not fancy but very comfortable. I recommend this place for a good night sleep.
