The bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean and big enough to move around in. The sink looked like a washtub (design) but was functional. The shower worked but wouldn't shut off for a tub bath. I liked the mini frig even though it froze the food. I loved the Keurig coffee machine. I liked the furniture and the TV was great! It was rustic but was great for us because we brought our little dog. There are great restaurants next door and across the street.

We need a safety bar in the bathtub/shower. There are no paper towels, and there are no extra trash bags, but I guess you can ask for them.

They sent me a text instructions on how to obtain my key from a lock box. it only said **Please Read** when it popped up, so I thought it was spam and didn’t open it. When I got to the property there was no one in the office so I called. They asked if I had received their text and I said I hadn’t and they were going to send someone over. I then checked my texts and found it and called them back to not come. It would have been far better if they had put **Apple Tree Inn** at the top of the text so I would have known it was legitimate and opened it.

Beds were comfy, room was spacious and clean. Great bar & grill (Heroes) across the street ( closes @ 8 pm) with burgers, pizza, and live music when we stayed there. Also an awesome bakery and small coffee shop across the street for morning meals. There is also a fancy “Farm to Table” restaurant next door that looked expensive.

Not actually in Julian, 3 miles west in Wynona. Also, no one in the front desk, have to text manager. Strangest part was that you only get one key per room and the door only locks from the inside by using the key.

Great location. Comfortable bed. Just a few minutes outside of Jullian. Has some great restaurants within walking distance. Owners are very helpful and professional. We were having problems with TV but they came and helped us fix the issue.

The housekeeping could be better. I asked for new sheets but they just made bed. A couple of dirty towels left behind. Floors were dirty.

Room: Floor was very dusty. We could not walk around in our bare feet. The staff mopped it on the second day but by two days later it was dusty again. Chairs need to be replaced or re-upholstered. To sit on them you could feel the wood frame about the legs.

My mom and I stayed at Apple Tree Inn with our 3 dogs to escape the New Year's fireworks in San Diego. It was the perfect low key getaway.

The shower could have been cleaner and I had to ask for a second roll of toilet paper. No big deal. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

All was clean except what I wrote in the section (What didn't I like?)

All was clean, except when I went to take a shower, there was a Tree Frog on the shower faucet. After my shower, I was able to get him into a plastic cup. Then, went outside to set him free. Seems he came in through a crack at the top of the shower faucet. This spot needs to be checked and fixed, so other little critters can't come in. Room #2.

Room was comfortable and conveniently located near restaurants and other attractions. Much less crowded than if we were to stay in the town of Julian. For being located next to the main road it was very quiet.

We were disappointed the pool was still under construction, it would have been nice to have known in advance as it was a very hot weekend and a cool dip would have been refreshing.

The atmosphere is excellent. Close to several places to eat. Met very nice people. Even though there were multiple groups staying there, it was quite at night. Just a very relaxed atmosphere. I come here a few times a year.

My only complaint is not having office staff available at night.

Nice remodeled room and we like parking our car close to our room. Very clean and comfortable. The a/c unit wasn’t turned on when we got there, but once it was on, cooled the room off quickly. We will most definitely come back to this hotel again! Loved that restaurants are right next door as well as a bakery across the street!

Just some suggestions: Please include written instructions on how to use the tv remote/Direct TV and the other remote as well. Had to ask the innkeeper how to use. Please include a hair dryer in the bathroom and include 2 additional pillows for the bed (perhaps in the closet if needed?). We didn’t want to bother the innkeeper. Also please include wash cloths and a bath mat to step on after showering and a non-slip shower mat. We also would have liked to have the pool open until 9 or 10 at night; 7 pm is a bit early to close a pool.
