The deck and view were wonderful. The light breakfast was ample with lots of choices and good coffee. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Small refrigerator and microwave were available. The chairs and table on the deck made a nice setting for watching the sunset with a glass of wine. A very refreshing visit and place to escape from the 100+ temperatures at home.

It is difficult to find something we didn't like. The access road is one lane with no apparent turnouts to pass on coming traffic. That was a bit worrisome. Fortunately, it was not an issue during our visit.

The hosts were amazing. They were kind and lovely. They provided a pet package with a little toy and treats to keep, as well as a blanket and bowl for the visit. They make you and your best friend welcome. The place is gorgeous, up on a hill, and every room can see the sea. Each room has a little patio so you can watch the sunrise. They offer many room amenities, such as a microwave and small fridge. They have a typical continental breakfast, but the coffee in the room and reception is real coffee— good and strong! The beds were comfortable and the mattresses and bedding were great. The location is really perfect for the coast, a short drive to Mendocino, Fort Bragg as well as Elk and Albion, a tiny bit further to Point Area (which has great fish and chips down by the dock.) tons of beaches, as well as a small hidden one— just ask the owners. Almost perfect!

The heater kept going on and off and was loud. It woke me up multiple times in the night. If you are a light sleeper, you won’t be able to sleep. I wasn’t. Which is a shame, as it really was almost perfect and a terrific price. Bring earplugs! The internet and TV can be wonky, but honestly, most of the drive we didn’t have any cell reception so I don’t blame them.

The Seafoam Lodge is located on a peaceful property that overlooks the ocean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They even included a complementary breakfast in the morning. This is a great option if you like to bring your pet as well.

Although there were chairs to sit on, it would have been nice if there was a small love seat instead. The walls were also thin so we could hear our neighbors walk around in the morning, dogs barking and kids crying.

The location is beautiful! Great WiFi and satellite tv worked great. It was quiet and view was gorgeous.

There were insects in our room. Spiders, ants and other bugs. I suppose it’s normal for bugs to be in a woodsy location, but a good spray would help prevent them from getting into the room and our suitcases. (On one of the days we found a huge spider on a hanging shirt). Coffeemaker didn’t work. We were looking forward to drinking coffee on the patio in the morning but the machine didn’t work.

This property way-exceeded our expectations! First of all, the room was faultlessly clean, and very comfortable. (Also we were warm enough in November which was a concern of mine before we got there) The manager was extrenely helpful and lovely lady who made us feel very welcome and gave fantastic personalized recommendations for the area. The breakfast offer was surprisingly varied and we loved having a microwave in the room as well and a table and chairs on the patio. There were nice little touches like hot apple cider in the office and a fire pit. Also the location was pretty close to Mendocino, which is a lovely little town with lots to offer. Would stay here again!

A tiny thing but I didnt like the smell of the toilettries - no big deal though! Also, the walls were pretty thin which could be annoying if you had a snorer in the room next door like we did!

The location was beautiful and it was close enough to walk to the beach, drive to Mendocine, or even Ft. Bragg and it didn't even feel like you were in the car. This was one of the most pet friendly hotels I've ever been to, down to the small care paw-ckage they give you when you enter. The service and hospitality we experienced for ourselves and our pets was unmatched at this place so much that we are planning multiple future trips here.

Not that I can think of!

The breakfast provided was super nice! Delicious bagels! My mom and I enjoyed sitting out on the room’s patio Adirondack chairs and drank wine each evening, looking out at the ocean. It was a great location, just a short drive into town, so it was perfect. And the couple who run it were both so nice and friendly!

The room’s door padlock wasn’t working, but thankfully I never felt unsafe. Though if I were traveling alone, I’d be nervous about that.

This roadside hotel is a perfect stop whether you're on the road or wanting to stick around for a few days. Room was very clean and comfortable. All staff we encountered were friendly and actually carried themselves as if they were happy we were staying with them. Quiet room, no road noise. Nice view of the ocean and sunset from the room. Great little porch with chairs to enjoy sitting outside in the evening.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was not huge by any means but was comfortable and squeaky clean. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. I thought the breakfast was perfect. They didn't try to do eggs or meat which is never good when premade in mass. We cooked our own fresh bagels and they were delicious. Lots of choices for breakfast. An ok view of the ocean with a beautiful tide pool area a short walk from our room.

The heater in the room was a bit on the loud side.

I love the view, the updated and comfortable rooms, pillows were great.

For off-season it was a little high priced. I know there were events going on around the area, but the price of the room, combined with the price of the event tickets I paid for, if I were to participate in these events next year, I would be more likely to go in on the hotel deals that were discounted for having a two-night stay if you mentioned you were there for the events (e.g., restaurant week, crab fest, etc.).
