The room and staff were both phenomenal. The patio stting was awesone and we really enjoyed sitting out outside. The patio was secluded which aslo was a plus. The staff and valet were very helpful and attentive to our needs.

The location was a little tough getting into on the day of arrival due to the Oscars being on the same night. The street was closed off due to the Oscar parties in the hotels and surrounding buildings. We were given instruction that the hotel was valet parking only but we had to circle the area for over an hour because there were zero places to park outside in order to check in due to the Oscars being on the same day and the street was blocked off. Had to park our car in the middle of the street and run in to see where we needed to park in order to check in. Thought the hotel should have sent us a text giving the travelers that day some better information.

restaurants all closed on one day of our stay and rooftop terrace on two days so no view of Hollywood sign ( reason for booking this hotel ) we had the $16 continental breakfast which seemed good value but after we were charged extra for the coffee an juice almost doubling the bill !! we did not do that again ! also they tried to charge us a $160 lobby bar bill. we did not ever use this and took 2 days to get them to sort it out. leaving bad feeling all round. it was eventually sorted on leaving after threatening not to pay at all. overall a lovely hotel but many flaws. surely at least one restaurant could remain open every day

Loved my room, the bars and the pool.

It would need a boiler in the room as well as space in the fridge for our own things.

We stayed in the Thompson Hollywood for 3 nights on the first leg of our LA trip in December 2022. The rooms were beautiful, clean, thoughtfully equipped (e.g. There was a clothes steamer in the wardrobe), bright and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and attentive. The overall style and vibe of the hotel was wonderful, from the living wall of plants in the entry way to the art and decoration of the very comfortable lobby. We were there to see the sights of Hollywood and were a few mins walk from everything! I would recommend this hotel to anyone stopping off in Hollywood!

Just an FYI - This may be standard in the US but I was not aware (from Ireland) that as I was using a debit card rather than a credit card to book the hotel, I was charged a security deposit per room per booking amounting to around 600 dollars being charged to my debit card and taking 5 working days to be refunded. It was a hit to the holiday spending money - Just something that is worth being aware of.

good location in Hollywood area. Clean hotel

Breakfast was ok but the staff were not friendly waited forever just for someone to approach me and then I was seated in a sun, they did not provide any umbrella for me but did provide it to the people who were already sitting in the shade. Also there was no coffee/tea machine but there is an expensive mini bar

I loved everything about my stay. The room - especially with that terrace - was incredible! The staff was very kind and everything was new and clean. The food at the bar and the bartender were great! 10/10 never felt more comfortable staying in Hollywood. It is right across from the nya studios which was convenient for an event I attended.

I do not like the party crowd on the weekend, but the hotel‘s security had it under control luckily.

The property looks like every Thompson I had visited in the past, nice, modern and beautiful. It’s was really nice, unfortunately we could only stay one night, so we didn’t have the time to enjoy the property. The guy at the front desk was very nice and helpful, I don’t remember his name 😕

The guy at the restaurant on the roof top was not friendly or helpful, he wears glasses, I asked for coffee with sugar and milk and he never brought to me. Also what we don’t like is that they have schedule the breakfast, lunch and dinner, we arrived 5 minutes before 11 am and the same guy told me they were over and he couldn’t do anything, I was with my two young kids (2-4 years) we we’re really hungry, and he told me to wait half an hour so they could offered me the lunch menu, I had to ordered Uber eats. And the last recommendation is very helpful to have in the room a coffee machine, they don’t have it, and we have to go down to the lobby for coffee. They never told me that the parking have a cost, when I asked them by email, and they do have it.

When we arrived at the hotel I broke my phone and I couldn’t pull up my reservation or pay with my phone. Jahnee was very patient and helpful in that moment. Jahnee pulled up our reservation even upgraded our room because it was our honeymoon and she even came up to our room short after we checked in to give us a nice bottle of champagne and some chocolates to celebrate our honeymoon. For the remainer of our stay Jahnee and the other staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was one to remember. I highly recommend staying at the Thompson.

Although the room size was smaller than the other hotels we stayed during this 20 days trip, it was really well planned and furnished. Bed was amazing - I have back problems so this is a huge deal for me. Staff was great! We really are coffee people and they made sure our room were always stocked with Nespresso! The hotel is beautiful, safe and you will not notice they have a club upstairs! I was worried it would impact our nights, but we couldn't hear anything from our room.

It was the only hotel that didn't leave a note or anything to make our honeymoon stay a little bit more special! I know it is not their obligation, bout would've ben nice.

The rooftop bar and the breakfast was very nice with a breathtaking view. The breakfast was very delicious although it was not included in the price. The swimming pool was also very nice. The hotel was very well decorated and the room was very spacious. The housekeeping staff was very polite especially Carmen and the Italian guy in the lobby. There were also some great Halloween parties at the rooftop during our stay at the hotel.

The location was good but there were many homeless people in West Hollywood and it was not always safe to walk around the neighbourhood, especially during the night . Although the staff was polite they did not know how to answer most of our simple touristic questions. They should be more informed about simple things like directions to the closest Metro station or how far are some important and well known sightseeings. Also on the receptionist in the first day charged us 600 dollars deposit during our arrival without explaining to us that this was a deposit and it would be returned after the last day of staying in the hotel.
