The Inn is very cozy and rustic. It is right on main road and most things are walkable including a liquor/convenient store right nearby and shops/restaurants. We stayed here to attend a concert at the Libbey Bowl which was also a quick 7 minute walk away. Also loved the small private sitting table/chairs in front of room with a small privacy gate to sit at. Room was clean and ready when arrived, staff very friendly. No complaints would come back here again.

The ice and vending machines were out of order but not a show stopper. Very quick walk to the store across the street for drinks/ice did work.

I was charmed by the vintage/antique furniture and decor, especially the fold out secretary desk. Bed was soooo comfy. AC worked great. Enjoyed the pool. Staff was kind and welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful!

The sink in my room had a dripping faucet, but it wasn’t a big deal. The vintage set of drawers beneath the sink was “modified” to accommodate the pipes which was a clever idea, but it caused the drawers to jut out a little awkwardly and not close properly.

All the extra little decorated details are quite lovely. As was the outdoor spa and pool. I was very excited about the Jacuzzi tub in the room. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable after many hours of driving.

There clearly needs to be some additional upkeep. The bathroom faucet was very jiggly (not attached to the sink any longer) and I had to hold it when turning the water on. The icemaker was completely dismantled, and the manager/owner (?) had to come out and release the ice into my bucket for me.

Loved the little patio outside of our room. The pool was refreshing in the heat and the jacuzzi warm at night. The room was cozy and well decorated and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect to walk downtown and have dinner and walk back. Parking right in front of hotel. Safe area and quiet.

Hotel getting older needs a slight update. Ice machine was broken. Continental breakfast needed to be a little fresher but was good.

Beautiful, quaint, proximity to town, happy hour and breakfast, staff, and amenities.

Overall it was great! I did trip on the curb outside the room between the room and the car. The curb is curved and there is not easy access between the room and parking lot. I tripped on the curb and landed on my knee, elbow, and hand. I was able to get ice from the front desk staff (the ice machine was out of order?). Thankfully I had no broken bones, but had to take a day off work for X-rays and to take care of my (still) swollen knee.

The pool and jacuzzi were clean and open until 11pm, which we took advantage of! The location is amazing, and I found it hard to believe the amazing deal for our stay, so close to the Ojai Arcade. We walked the entire time we stayed here. Staff were all incredibly kind; continental breakfast and dining room were ample, and sun-soaked... it felt like a Bed & Breakfast in its charm.

Our mattress/bed could have been more comfortable; the bed was very bouncy. Also, the tile floor could have used an area rug for a little more coziness. These are nitpicky things; overall, we had a great stay, and will happily book again!

I really enjoyed my stay at Chantico. The staff was very attentive and understand the meaning of Customer Service. They treated their humble hotel as a First Class resort and treated every person as a VIP. That is the way it should be. Rocio, checked me in, the process was quick and she was very friendly. Though English was her second language you can tell by the way she spoke and explained things to me she was quite fluent and comfortable expressing herself. Very, Very Helpful. Ana, is also a gem, she takes pride in her work, and you realize that as a professional this is only a stepping stone in her career in hotel management. She has a demeanor which is perfect for this industry, I can see her working at the 4 Seasons, Ojai Valley Inn or large establishment as she is fluently bilingual and well educated. Jennifer, is an amazing team leader and hotel Manager. How she does it is beyond me. She understands the importance of running any size hotel as a resort and and giving all her patrons 5 Star VIP treatment. The rooms are clean and have a large 64” TV if that is what you are into and they have nice elevated Queen size bed. There is even a small patio where you can sit. And it is non-smoking. They have a pool to enjoy as well as a whirl pool.

Breakfast was simple in their wonderful well lit patio. Baked goods, Yogurt, Oatmeal and Fresh fruit and waffles as well as coffee and tea. It was probably the only thing that need a bit more thought.

The staff was really nice, helpful and accommodating .They made us feel welcome and appreciated.

Too much chlorine in the pool. The kids eyes were burning like crazy. We didn’t get back in the pool, as much as they wanted to. You could smell the chlorine from the parking lot. The continental breakfast would better if they added boiled eggs, yogurt, bananas & regular bread for toast or English muffins.

The hotel is more like a B&B, very homey with many eclectic antiques and stained glass. Jennifer manages the Hotel and she was very kind and accommodating to me and my service dog. The breakfast went above and beyond for an inclusive breakfast. I was very happy and wish I could've stayed longer. The pool and spa were lovely and heated. The bed was comfy, room was clean. I will be back.

Liked it even better than our visit two years ago. Pool was divine...clean, perfect temperature, half shade, half sun, lots of nice pool-side furniture, HOT hot tub (yeah), open long hours (evening was luxurious). Beds were very comfortable. Our room's little patio was convenient for wet bathing suits. The location can't be beat...two short blocks to all the places I want to see in Ojai.
