The location was great, near my son’s house. The room is very large, with a sofa, coffee table, and the bench at the end of the bed. Very nice breakfast, friendly restaurant host and good cook. Room were very quiet.

The housekeeping did not do a good job on my fourth day, she replace the towels, but she didn’t clean the toilet. When I asked for better quality pillows on the 2nd day, they told me there’s none. On the 4th day they showed up with two larger and softer pillows. Bathroom missing a piece of tile, some wallpaper is falling apart. Couple times around dinner time, front entrance ran out of hot water.

It was clean and welcoming. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were delish! The staff was courteous and pleasant to deal with. The ADA bedroom was clean and spacious enough to get around in. The buffet breakfast was good.

I had one negative experience. I’d booked two nights with booking.com, but had called and added another night with reception. I called and added a third night. The gentleman who helped me was great. He booked that night directly through the hotel’s system. When I called to try to cancel it, the night person said (rudely) since I used booking.com I’d have to deal with them to cancel it. When I tried to explain the situation she interrupted me and said the same thing. I was so astonished and angry I hung up on her. I almost cancelled our stay completely.

Breakfast was fine, though the chef has a pretty annoying answer to any time you mention that they are out of a food type. We don't know whether HE knows that they are out of, say, pancakes, so mentioning it to him is trying to be helpful, not criticizing. As far as cleanliness, everything in our room was great. Shower pressure was wonderful, and a surprise compared to many hotel showers. Staff was very helpful, especially Niguel. He was very friendly and helped us a lot.

The comforter in the cupboard that we put on the bed to keep us warmer, was so heavy and big that it was almost overkill. A nice additional blanket, or a smaller comforter would have been perfect!

The on-site restaurant and bar are convenient, offering decent meals and drinks in a laid-back setting. Location-wise, The Oaks is close to downtown Paso Robles and several wineries, making it an ideal base for exploring the region. Overall, The Oaks Hotel & Suites offers a pleasant and comfortable stay with excellent service, making it a great value for visitors to Paso Robles.

Bar was not working on the weekend.

The staff were very nice. The location is very convenient for visiting wineries and close to downtown. The bed was comfy. The A/C worked.

The shower head spits air (aerating) so all you get is a mist. It is not adjustable. It’s hard to take a good shower with just mist. There were 2 coffee pods in the coffee box and one of them was used. The fact that a used pod was left after cleaning the room was a real disappointment. The breakfast was better than chain hotels breakfasts but still the bacon and the scrambled eggs were overcooked.

would give it a solid 5 stars in all categories but the bathroom needed attention. Water pressure is super high in shower causing damage to the outside wall and lifting the shower curtains. We noticed a bad lighting in the vanity and asked for assistance but the staff gave us a light bulb instead💆‍♂️. We just keep it as is. During our 3 days stay, the light die out. But everything else, breakfast, location and cleaness gets an excellent review 👌

The staff is always amazing.

The only thing we ran into this trip was a spill of what looked like a beverage in one of the elevators and when we mentioned it to the guy manning the front desk (he was assisting other customers to check in) he said he couldn't do anything right now. We went down to fill water bottles much later that evening, and the mess was still there. As a slip and fall hazard that was sub-par handling of the issue. The staff is almost always on top of every question or issue.

Very courteous, helpful staff. Nice, very clean room. Comfortable bed. Nice size, modern bathroom. The included breakfast is good but became repetitive by the 3rd day. I would like to see an omelet station and additional choices.

There was a heavy duvet (comforter) on the bed. It looks nice but proved to be too heavy and hot for my wife and me. We asked for a blanket, which one of the room attendants provided, which worked great in lieu of the duvet.

The lobby was friendly around the holidays, inviting people to interact, with “a fireplace” and decor, and a bar to have a glass of wine. The room was very comfortable, nice bathroom, water bottles offered in the room. The access to the small fitness room was a plus.

No jacuzzi available, closed for the season. The breakfast room atmosphere was quite sterile ( compared to the lobby). The breakfast items were hidden behind a wall and all guests were jammed behind that wall to get their breakfast before going back to their brown tables, very old cafeteria style. They could improve with simple details: Is that wall necessary? The brown tables could be covered with white table cloths, it would be nice to have hot water in the breakfast room, along with the several coffee thermos. (I needed to go into the lobby to get hot water) There was no honey.

Staff who checked us in was courteous and explained everything well. There are nice toiletries, slippers and robes. Room was clean and lots of plugs for electronics at desk and by bed. It was nice to have breakfast included and meet other guests. Food & coffee was fine. Ample and convenient parking and easy to get to the highway.

Pillows were hard like little rocks and one had a stain. Fridge cabinet door was ready to break because it opens the wrong way. There are no drinking glasses or no lotion provided with toiletries. The bed cover looks like a sheet with a thin blanket in between which is a little too light but they also provide a heavy comforter which is a bit too warm. Need a light duvet instead.
