As soon as I came in, I was welcomed by the staff and they were very polite and helpful. We enjoyed the pool during our stay and the breakfast was great. Helped us save some money. Loved that we were near several restaurants. Loved our stay!

On our first night, there was a group of kids in the pool being loud. They were passed the curfew time and stayed there for over an hour which made it hard for us to sleep.

We stayed with a group of my bridesmaids in sorrento valley because I was getting married in San Diego. I was not wanting to be anywhere near the traffic or the high cost of hotels downtown. I was so glad that I found the Holiday Inn in Sorrento Valley. It was in a really nice part of town and it was always quiet. It was only a 15 minute drive to the city. The breakfast was excellent. I really loved how quiet the location was. There is also a Starbucks right in front of the hotel--super convenient!

The parking is sort of scarce, but I was always able to find a parking space.

Breakfast was decent, value for money not an elaborate spread no live counters understandably so as it’s a budget hotel . Friendly helpful staff. Was allowed early check in .Thanks.

Water not provided in the rooms nor could I get it in the property except while at breakfast. I’m an IHG member but this trip doesn’t reflect in my IHG APP, Atleast not till the moment. The front desk told me it will be added later….waiting

Large and spacious room. The bathroom is fully renovated and has Dove toiletries, which was a nice addition. The bed was comfortable. Location is very convenient to anyone visiting the La Jolla area, with Qualcomm literally accross the street, and minutes from the I-805. There's a Starbucks in front of the hotel, and another snacks place next to it. The neighborhood is quiet, and staff is friendly.

TV had no cables, only regular channels. The carpet had a small nail, though once I remembered its location I was careful not to step there barefoot. The wallpaper peeled off at one spot (nothing big). My major issue was with breakfast - there were no fruits, the omelets were not tasty at all, and the pastries looked stale (I didn't try them). I ended up eating elsewhere.

My husband was having an early, 6 am morning procedure at the VA. It is a 30 minute drive. The procedure was going to last all day. It was so helpful to get a good nights rest and have a place to comfortabley waite until it was done. Staying 8 minutes away from VA was so helpful. The late check-out was the most important part of the stay, so we didn't have to set at the hospital

Breakfast was decent! Coffee was the BEST that I can remember getting at a Hotel, anywhere!! Seriously, it was strong enough & that NEVER happens at a hotel! There was a cool Pancake machine too. Push a button & a minute later you have 2 pancakes! Centrally located, close to Highway 805, made it easy to get to La Jolla, Mission Valley, Del Mar & many other places of interest!

Plastic on the floors looked shabby, but they are remodelling evidently. We just never saw nor heard any workers doing anything.

The room was great. Loved the set up and furniture

Housekeeping tried to enter my room 2 hours before check out. Did not know. Luckily I had the safety latch on, but you can tell someone tried to open my door. I left earlier then check out because I was upset that someone tried to enter the room.

Breakfast was good and coffee always tasted fresh. Breakfast times were very good.

Construction going on was something you don't want to deal with, but even though it was managed very good considering the ongoing. We were notified regarding the construction ongoing and that was very nice to be notified .

I really enjoyed the breakfast that they had in the morning and let’s not forget how comfortable the beds were :)

We were told we couldn’t get water from the breakfast hall when checking out

except for the construction going on, the facilities were clean, the staff was attentive, breakfast was very good, and the amenities like Starbucks and Jersey Mike’s across the way was very convenient.

The toilets are way too low. Comfortable for the general public is chair height, 16” to 18”, but I would hope the company would know that already.
