My husband and I were in San Francisco for him to have surgery at the UCSF hospital, so I needed a place for a week. I chose City Center Inn & Suites because the room had a microwave and a little refrigerator. I wanted free parking and breakfast (even continental) and City Center Inn & Suites had all 4 and the hotel was very clean and the staff was pleasant and professional. We were very happy with our choice and if we need to go back to San Francisco for anything, we will definitely stay at City Center Inn & Suites again.

My husband is a smoker, so he had to go out front to smoke. He has a couple of times that he had to wait up to 10 minutes to get back into the lobby, but it only happened a couple of times. Overall we had a great experience.

2 bedroom appartment, however you need to walk thru bedroom 1 to access bedroom 2 so no privacy for those in bedroom 1

Location is key, walking distance to Union Square. Breakfast is good although it was only hot drinks and some bread and biscuits. No hot meals in the breakfast. The dining area is a little bit crowded with only two tables. The hotel provides free parking.

The elevator is not working. We have to use stairs and it is hard especially if you come with luggage. Breakfast is also limited to bread and biscuits. I suggest to have hot meals such as eggs and sausages.

I chose this hotel mainly because they had indoor parking, which was essential given the stories about homeless people breaking into cars in San Francisco. The room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and ready to help.

The breakfast was poor, mostly consisting of processed products and sweets (cereal, oats, bread with jam). The coffee was awful, and the water had a strange coffee flavor. A deposit is required. I was given a room on the second floor, and there was no elevator, so carrying my 23 kg luggage up was a hassle.

Considering the location being in SOMA which is a bit dodgy, I was impressed with how secure the hotel was. There were no people hanging around outside and access into the hotel through the secure entrance was quick, regardless of the time. The Staff were always helpful and willing to offer assistance and suggestions.

I have no complaints. I was happy with all aspects of the hotel.

The location is great and the rooms are clean. It definitely is more of an inn/motel vibe so make sure to set expectations properly. However, given the price and the location in SF proper, plus free parking and wifi, I have no complaints. Really great value for money.

The reception can be a bit confusing. It does run past the operating hours stated in the listing but the front desk is not staffed 24/7 so expect to have to ring a bell if you're checking in late. Also, if you need to use their parking, the entrance is managed manually by the front desk. Same as above, this relies on you ringing a bell if entering/exiting the parking lot at early/late hours.

The room had a good amount of space for three adults and one child to move around. Had a couch,, two tables and two chairs. Was called an executive suite. Appreciated the extra security for the parking lot: staff would open and shut a garage door for car departures and arrivals to keep undesirables out of the parking lot. The hotel security was good for the price paid.

The property needs to fix their elevator: they have an elevator but it doesn't work. I have difficulty with stairs and had to climb two to three flights of stairs to access my room. The hotel is located on 7th St in downtown San Fran. WAY TOO MANY homeless people and tents noted when trying to walk in the area.

The whole place is very clean and well kept. Our rooms were freshly decorated and comfortable. The water was always hot, everything worked and was in good order. Bed was comfortable, pillows were disappointing. The rooms and hotel are quiet. Vending machines worked ok. In room coffee maker excellent. Overall a good place and well located. Helpful staff.

The lift didn’t work.

Excellent, thank you. Wonderful staff, friendly and kind. The property is well-kept, spacious and cozy. Appreciate being able to keep my vehicle safe and secure in the locked garage. Easy access to gourmet coffee shop, walking distance to Whole Foods, Restaurants, and more. It felt safe staying here, and I would stay again. Other guests were friendly and seemingly as happy with their stay. It felt like a cozy home away from home. Thanks, again! All the best. With heart. ❤️

Once inside the hotel, the place is super clean, safe, comfortable. I stayed in other place in the area too and I got pleasantly surprised of this one! If I ever go back to Folsom Fair, the best place to stay, the fair is located just around the corner.

Nothing the hotel can control, which is the neighborhood..Downtown is not the best place to say in San Francisco.. you know you will need to deal.with homeless people and their issues in any hotel in the area.
