Gardena is not a location where you will find super high end hotels. I researched the best ones in the same price range and chose this hotel. We booked a two queen size bed room. The young lady at the check in gave us a nice corner room on the 5th floor with the front parking view which had a nice view of their pretty large trees. I’m not sure how different the king size bedrooms are but our room was spacious - divided into the living room and bedroom with a long table/desk. The room had an older model Japanese electric water heating pot. Which is a huge plus if you like to drink a lot of hot green tea, or eat instant ramen (^_^)。 They also gave us two complimentary water bottles. It also had a safe, iron, fridge, coffee maker and a dvd player (didn’t use it). Being Japanese American, the best part of the room was the bathtub. It is a Japanese style bathtub. It’s nice and deep and in the same place as the shower so you can rinse or wash yourself first, then soak in the deep tub. The water pressure was great. I don’t usually take baths at hotels because it’s never cleaned well and disgusting but I rubbed my fingers slightly around the tub and it was squeaky clean so I was able to soak in the tub with no worries. The bathroom has a washlet. They also give you a toothbrush and one bath salt that’s included in your amenities. If you go to the closet, they give you free white disposable slippers which is a huge plus if you don’t like walking barefoot on hotel room floors. They also had a decent fitness room and a self serve mini convenience store which was a plus. We were in Gardena for my daughter’s exam that began at 7:30AM and went on for seven hours. So being able to sleep as much as we can and having the test site be as close as possible was a must. The hotel was perfect for our purpose. It is also located super close to many Japanese fast food restaurants and Daiso if you forgot to bring something from home and don’t want to spend so much money.

The only inconvenience was that the ice machine was out of order on our floor. The hotel rooms are probably on the older side so when you walk into the room for the first time, the air is not so pleasant but that is immediately fixed when you turn on the AC and open the balcony window. Oh, the only thing I wish was replaced with a new one was the blow dryer. It was very old (felt like I was using a pretend toy dryer) very loud, and took forever to blow dry our hair.

For business trip. It's very close to our office. Hotel/room is clean and some appliances/services do accommodate to the Japanese style. There are plenty of restaurants and a bakery in the plaza in the next block back to the hotel (walking distance). Wifi is good. Also the hotel has a basic fitness center. If I remember correctly, they have vending machine and FX desk on the first floor. I think they also have some meeting hall that can hold big events.

Spacious room especially shower/bath tub, comfy bed and nice calm and very private atmosphere of the hotel. Free parking lot is big plus.

Our room was located over super loud airconditioning outlet from restaurant or what, so it was impossible to open window at night not just because of the noise, but also because of the smell of cooking. Also additional price for spa suprised us as at the reservation was written it is included.

Everything was excellent except one thing.

Unfortunately, we saw cockroaches near the reception and the restaurant.

The staff was very nice and professional. The hotel was clean and updated. The hotel was in a very convenient location for what I was in town to do.

The only things I did not like was the firmness of the mattress and the price of the breakfast buffet.

Serenity. Very quiet and guests all polite. Replenished water bottles.

Fit and finish of rooms. They are showing age, Wallpaper shower was peeling. USB for radio was shot. Not a lot of parking for regular cars but lots for "green" ones.

I actually ate at the hotel restaurant! It was very lovely. Love the bath tub and the shower in the rooms, it's the best thing in the world. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys Japanese baths.

I feel like some of the furniture is starting to look old. A chair in my executive room was peeling and it wasn't very pleasant looking. I also find the sexy bathroom window a little weird when you're with coworkers or friends, but that's just me.

Very clean hotel with great facilities and great value for money. Room extremely clean with lots of amenities, great bathroom/shower/bath No issues with storing our bikes in our room. Location good, close to downtown Torrance. Free parking. Overall a great luxury experience especially for the price.

Nothing (like, really nothing)

The location was safe and well lit. Each day when we left, we didn't return until close to midnight and felt safe. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in during a hotel stay. Everyone was so helpful.

There is aything negative I can say about the entire stay.

Conveniently located near the Los Angeles airport. Room and bathroom were very spacious. The deep soaking tub felt terrific after a long day and we loved the bidet toilet. Just like Japan except the room and facilities are much larger in comparison.

Carpet did not appear to be very clean but house slippers are provided.
