The inn is beautiful, and was decorated elegantly for Christmas. I loved the working fireplace in the great room on level one. Also, the snack/refreshments area was exceptional with home baked chocolate chip cookies, chips, soda, and a cute Harney Tea box set. Our room had a smart tv, which we could use to connect our phone and stream Netflix, Hulu, etc… on top of the many complimentary cable and movie channels offered.

There were a few spots on the carpet in our room that were wet… I’d assume they were stains that were recently treated or scrubbed, but hadn’t dried yet. So that was a little off putting. Nothing I made a big fuss over though. And the tub/shower was a little awkward because of the creaking and unstable-feeling floor beneath it. Granted, I’m a 200+ pound man, but it definitely could use some repair.

The holiday decor was breathtaking, making the entire property sparkle in the dark winter night. The front desk staff member was exceptionally nice— she called before we checked in to confirm we were still coming and inform us that she was there until midnight. Upon checking in, every guest receives a fresh chocolate chip cookie! The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was one of the best I have ever eaten at a hotel— omelette bar, fresh fruits, pastries, pancakes, and so much more. The inside of the hotel has more of a cabin feel and the library was our favorite room to sit in. Overall I loved it and can’t wait to go back!

The walls are not very soundproof and we could hear voices from the nearby rooms. Otherwise everything was exceptional.

Everything was exceptional, the staff was friendly, the rooms were comfortable, they gave you home made chocolate chip cookies. The breakfast was second to none.

Beautiful decor, clean, fireplaces were going, outdoor fire pit. We ran around outside in the back yard and lawn games. Best chocolate chip cookies ever! Multiple hang out areas. Close to restaurants, shopping. We stayed for a Gilmore Girls getaway and it was close to areas of interest and hiking.

Kind of quiet - not a lot of people, action or staff but also nice to be quiet!! So it depends on what you’re looking for.

I was extremely happy with my room. Beautiful and spacious. I think I was given the wrong room but I didn't mind as it was so lovely. Absolutely beautiful hotel.

There was a loud buzzing noise coming from the hallway I could hear loudly in my room. I asked about it and they seemed to have some look.at it the next day. Breakfast was average. I expected more from a hotel like this.

It was elegant and comfortable. I felt like a.queen in our king bed.facing the fireplace, and the marble tiled bathroom was palatial in size and style! I love the lounges with books and chess, and my son loved the cocoa and cookies available all night!

I would have preferred more access to streaming services without using our home passwords.

I loved it here! What a special spot. This place really goes above and beyond - they have free cookies (which are the best) and coffee and stacks pretty much all day. And a great complementary breakfast, too! The staff was wonderful and the rooms were also amazing and very spacious. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Lovely Inn and setting. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Enjoyed using the Common Room. Breakfast was nice and omelets/eggs were cooked to order.

The Inn is located a several minute drive from the town of Litchfield. More food services or light meals available during the day would have been convenient.

The Inn is fab, the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in! The breakfast met our needs - plenty of choice and great, quick service.

There was no bar onsite (we didn't find one!) minor point but it would have been nice to be sit by the fire with drink in hand on what was a went windy autumn night in Litchfield.
