If your looking for a ho hum Holiday Inn experience with a crowded parking lot, surly hosts, and crappy Belgian Waffles the Suwannee Gables is not your place! But if your of the authentic persuasion and truly appreciate an old Florida motel complete with happy staff, wonderful views, and the ambiance of slow lazy river then you will not be disappointed.

We booked our room online.We had an 8 hour trip ahead of us.We called and the staff was so understanding they allowed us to check in at 3 a.m and left the key in a hidden place for us.We checked out that same morning by 11 a.m. Our room was very clean and I was really pleased considering this is an older motel that's been renovated.Staff was amazing and easy to deal with.Will stay there again.

I knew this place was older from the moment we walked in it felt homey. The pink and black bathroom tiles were like being at my mom's house at my mom's house. They still use the old room keys. It was exceptionally clean no mildewey smell despite its age. The gentleman in the front office was super pleasant very informative. It's in-and-out of the way old little town that I would definitely stay at again.

Owner and wife were both very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean, but dated. Beds were comfy, there was a fridge with FREEZER, a microwave, a coffee maker. The grounds were fantastic.

Not really anything...? The shower head was low, but not a problem.

This place is not for everyone. Old school. Property is still being renovated. Our room had been recently renovated. The best part was the location. This property is right on the Suwannee River. Awesome docks and plenty of room. Lots of history. Lots of character. This was exactly what we were looking for.

It’s old property and I’m sure property renovations and maintenance will be on going.

No breakfast included, facility was clean, owner was very nice & helped me with a problem I had with booking.com.

Was an older motel but was well taken care of. Internet was spotty but did work after several tries.

The owners were very friendly and efficient.

They are still renovating, but you see a lot of progress has been made. Could need new linens and towels. Clean the floors.

We upgraded to a Balcony Room, was very Nice, clean n comfortable " The Grounds, n River View were Beautiful Thank you for a Wonderful Stay 🙏😊

The marina was nice. Room was great for a one night stay. Office staff/owner was friendly and helpful with places to eat.

WiFi wasn’t reliable.

N/A had to get up too early room was great location was right were I needed to be.

Lower price would be nice.
