The staff were very friendly. The resort complex includes a restaurant & two bars. Their breakfast was good. Lunch & Dinner were excellent - the Jumbo Fried Shrimp Basket which my friend & I had we both thought was among the best we've ever had. The resort is very close to the Mel Fisher Treasure Museum, and other restaurants, bars, & parks. The bed in my room was quite comfortable. The bathroom was clean & modern.

The ac unit in my room worked on only one setting: fan. I had to unplug it.

The location was great. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. The lock on our door didn't work, so we were moved to an upgraded room. It was wonderful! Thanks for taking such good care of us.

They need to tell you that the resort fees are separate from the total price when you book your trip. They mention a resort fee, but it never says during the booking process how much they are or that it's extra from the total price. As someone who is a small business owner, that's a little misleading and sneaky.

Breakfast was great. Location was beautiful. Staff were all very hardworking and kind. Attentive service and the hotel had a lot of perks. Coffee bar was great. Live music most of the day.

Our room was very clean and upgraded, however, our room specifically smelled very moldy. Also, we stayed through Monday. It would have been great if they had live music until at least 7 or so. Many people at the bar would have stayed I think if so.

I didn't realize how large the property was and our room looked newly renovated and was very large. The staff was so nice, they spoke to my 5 year old and made her feel important by coming around the counter to give her her wristband and a lanyard to do the Scavenger Hunt. When she finished it they acted so impressed and gave her the gift souvenir. It was really cute. We were pretty busy that weekend so we didn't get to eat at the restaurant or enjoy the live music but we plan on staying again. The room was pricey but I can see why now that we stayed there. It did have that resort feel.

The rate was pretty high and the pool was small but otherwise a lovely hotel with great staff.

The resort was in a great location and close to restaurants, beaches and shoppes. You also receive a one hour bike rental with your stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Snack bar on property made getting a late night snack super convenient. You also get a cute beach tote as a free gift!

The walls are thin. We could hear the other guests until the wee hours. Arcade games were broken. Pool towels were available but we were never told were to get them so we ended up using our room towels.

The decor, proximity to water activities and restaurants, and quiet room from 11 PM to 9 AM.

At 9 AM, the housekeeper in the room next door kept opening the door and letting it slam against the lock latch so many times we felt tormented and bewildered. The slamming occurred more than 20 times within about 30 minutes. It was loud and caused the wall art to rattle every single time. When I asked the housekeeper to please find a way to prop the door so that she could enter and exit quietly, she said, "It will keep happening cuz I'm not finished." I was shocked, because that kind of thoughtlessness from a hotel staff member had never been so blatant in any of my experiences prior. I grabbed a an unused wash cloth from my room, and used it to soften the bang from the door onto the latch. This was the solution. I had to think of it myself, though.

We LOVE this location. We park the car and everything is walking distance. We love the restaurant, the casualness and the live music (it was the weekend J. Buffet died so lots of oldies to reminisce with). Waitresses are super sweet and food is tasty. Beautiful atmosphere and surroundings

Our only problem, which was remedied immediately, was the room. It was clean but maintenance was doing a few repairs when we entered. The room had a wet carpet smell and there were paint cans sitting in the room along with a few other maint tools. The f desk placed us in another room right away.

Excellent location and history , some themed hotels can be gimmicky but this place was far from it , it has beautifully decorated rooms in an excellent location with plenty to see and do on offer , the beach bar was fantastic ,free coffee and water which was much appreciated. The rooms were large we even liked the little flannel character in the bathroom . Such a chilled and welcoming place .

First time at Captain Hiram's and we had an absolute blast!! Check in was fast-our room was ready early. Then entire hotel was spotless as were our room. Definitely a fresh spotless smell and feeling. Front desk was very friendly and outgoing. Room was beautifully updated. Loved that our balcony was directly across the street from the Sandbar. We could hear the music and karaoke from our balcony. Hotel grounds were beautiful. We loved that everything was across the street. Parked the truck at check in and didn't move til we checked out. Service and good at The Sandbar was amazing..even when Caribbean Chillers were playing..they were packed..when we sat down our server Nichole came over within 5 minutes took our drink order and apologized for wait time as food was delayed due to the crowds. I believe she said she was working a double and had 18 tables. We explained that we were on vacation and were in no hurry. We truly enjoyed our time at Captain Hiram's. Each meal we had was better than the last. Can't wait to be back again!! We've already made reservations for New Years Eve! Thank you Captain Hiram's for a much needed mini vaca for some us time!!

The fact that our stay wasn't longer!!

Love it there. We've stayed there twice now, 2022 and 2023. We get a first floor room by the pool, stay away from night life sounds. We go down to bands etc BUT, like going back to a peaceful room. Has nice little fenced area in front of room with umbrella table and chairs. Great if have dog with you, they love being outside to. Candice checked us in and was able to give us the room we requested...A BIG PLUS. Only 2 problems I have with them BUT will be returning in 2024 (we stay a week+). 1. Last year pool was heated, NOT this year, I swear they put left over ice from bar after closing 2. Man, they really jack up rate in March, or we'd return that month to. As with most places in Florida, they all go way up in price when spring breakers come. Again, Thank-You Candice, your the best. Hope your boss sees this. From 1-10, I give you a 14 :-).
