This is a budget motel - so if you start with that expectation and the really low price then you are going to very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the beautiful views across the lake.

Unusually for a motel there was no breakfast available even as an option. That said Peggy Sue's Diner in town is just superb so no great loss. Also no one was ever present at reception and had to be summoned by phone on the wall. So hardly welcoming compared to, say, to the Best Western next door who were enthusiastic in their welcome even though we had the wrong hotel!!

The room was nice and NO bed bugs! Had new mattress and a nice view for bug pond. We enjoyed watching the turtles and ducks in the morning.

Housekeeping left a full trash can in the bathroom and didn't clean the inside of the toilet from the previous guest, but other than that I was pleased. I wish hotels had a kureg coffee pot instead of the lil cheap ones bc the coffee is so watered down and no coffee flavor. No pool, no game room, no extras. Tiny vending machine 1/2 empty and a pop machine.

Loved the turtles that would swim up to my deck in the morning. Also the bed was super comfortable.

A few things could be cleaned better or at all. The track for the sliding glass doors, the glass doors themselves. Also I was not told that I had to request maid service when I checked in. They should put a card or letter in the room with this information.

Check-in was easy, the room was well-sized, and we had a lovely little balcony right over the lake. There was a wedding at the property the night we stayed and we could see the ceremony from the balcony. In the morning, lots of seagulls were out and about looking for a meal. The bed was comfy and the room had everything we needed.

The room was a bit outdated and some things needed some attention. Wished there could have been more pillows on the bed.

Perfect location, great price. The room looked freshly renovated. Lovely view, even the art in the room was beautiful photography of the Indiana Dunes. It was such a nice touch. There were makeup remover wipes in the bathroom! The lighting inside the room was very nice too. The blackout curtains actually blocked the sunlight. Thought we didn’t end up needing the microwave or fridge this time, it’s so nice to have.

The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, it was trivial though (a hair on the side of the tub behind the door). I had to take the batteries out of the remote and switch them around to get the remote to work properly, but it was an easy fix.

Nice location. Staff nice and helpful. Lovely view over lake. Room large and comfortable.

The hallways were not vacuumed it seems for a long time and they were very cold. One of the desk people did say when we checked in that they couldn't find help so I'm assuming that's why hallways dirty.

Baby needed more lighting in that lovely big room! Bathroom good but needs a little work. Microwave had food bits inside and coffee machine used pod still in tray! Floors creaked so walked softly as we could in case people downstairs. Exit door to parking full of cigarette butts. Maybe a sand bucket for smokers?

The location is excellent. It was quiet and being on the water was so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the geese and turtles. Room was large and the hot tub was so nice. Very clean.

They have a motion sensor light and it kept popping on just inside the door.

The hotel is on a charming little lake and the balcony leans right over the water. In the morning we saw 3 different kinds of turtles as well as fish and birds. It was very beautiful and peaceful. At first I couldn’t believe this hotel was on a lake because we had just pulled off the highway with all kinds of traffic. What a pleasant surprise to see that our room really did look out onto a quiet little lake. I would stay here again!

The hotel was a little worn and faded and could definitely use some sprucing up. I would take out the 70’s carpeting and just install some kind of flooring. It was definitely the carpets that gave the place the tired look. Also, when the description said that it looked over THE lake, I assumed the lake was Lake Michigan. At first I was disappointed, but then we loved Chubb Lake, well, it is really a large pond.

Location, so pretty. Bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was huge, so the a/c was not right on top of us

The sliding door was hard to open and the screen went off track.
