Standard breakfast. Location was fantastic. Could not be better.

we stayed two nights. when we returned from our day's outing to stay for the 2nd night, the room had not been cleaned. When we asked why, we were told it is only done by request. There was no prior notice of this. when we asked why, we were told it was because of "liability issues". What nonsense. I have stayed several nights in hotels each year for the last several and have NEVER encountered this without any kind of prior notice.

How clean it was and how friendly the staff was!

At the right of the front entry, outside, there is a transitional area from ramp style to sidewalk. It isn’t marked and coming in later at night was impossible to see coming from the handicapped parking places. I’m fine but it was quite the awkward step situation on my new surgical knee. Maybe add a stripe of paint at the transition to warn of this situation to prevent falls at this point.

We would be arriving a little late, around 11pm - 12am or so. I called ahead and they were able to accommodate and make a note. When I got there, my check-in paperwork was already set on top of the pile for the night shift hotel clerk to speedily check me in. The room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable. Although it did smell a tad musty near the bathroom, it wasn't overbearing and certainly wasn't a deal breaker. Complementary breakfast was probably among the top that I've had post-covid.

The room was very clean. Everything looked recently renovated. The lobby was decorated for the season, which was very cute. There was a large variety of food for breakfast, both hot and cold items. Our beds were comfy and the room was quiet. We heard no noise from other people or from traffic. We didn’t use the pool area, but other families did. It looked clean and well maintained. All the employees were friendly. I couldn’t ask for more!

The motel was very clean, easy to find , staff was friendly. Room clean and very inviting.

Breakfast was a let down. One waffle maker was not enough for a busy morning. Omelet was like sponge, sausage only meat choice. Rolls were dry, hard, only one carton chocolate milk. Coffee was good but I will probably not stay there again because of the poor breakfast .

Breakfast was very nice, but closed down too early.

There was no battery in the room's smoke detector. (That, I would think, is somewhat dangerous.) The hotel had only small luggage carts. Water from AC vent, condensation, dripped on my head while entering hotel lobby. Ice machine wasn't operational during first night.

Room, staff and location were great.

I believe there was a child in the room above me. Lots of running and jumping. Woke me up 2 mornings in a row. Made it difficult to sleep in, relax or even watch TV at times. Not the hotels fault, necessarily. But, annoying when you're trying to relax.

Very nice hotel. Right next door to one of the best seafood places in Des Moines!!

The cleaning staff needs to be SURE they are checking the fridge for leftover stuff from previous guests.

It was clean!! Next to many restaurants and gas stations and right off the highway. AMAZING breakfast. Plenty of space to sit and chat and of course eat in the morning.

I didn't like the bed. It wasn't that comfortable but I did sleep. Pillows were nice and blankets too just the bed was meh.
