The staff is very nice and friendly. They welcome you and show you around your place. They are always willing to help improve your stay. The location is amazing, right behind the Brunswick, steps to the beach. The 2 bedrooms appartement has everything you need for nice stay. Full kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, stainless steel appliances, keurig coffee maker etc, small living room with futon and flat screen tv, master bedroom with a comfy king size bed, A/C, flat screen tv, big closet. The other bedroom has 2 sets of bunkbeds, (3 double beds and 1 twin) and a flat screen tv too. The bathroom is a nice size with a shower only. We were 5 adults and never ran out of hot water. There is outdoor furniture, access to a BBQ and a smoker. For us it was mainly a place to sleep as we spent our days on the beach but we really enjoyed this place!!!

Great location and very clean facility. Bed was comfortable. I actually could see the ocean from my balcony. It was well insulated and outside noise was minimal, I think I only heard interior noise twice in four full days. This is an ideal spot to see most of the OOB action or just sleep 15 hours a day. The hot water is hot. I would stay again.

I wasn't bothered by these things but it is mid renovation and there's some unfinished work here and there as of my stay. Some might dislike the rustic nature of the place but it was very, very relaxing. Pre-checkin communication.

I like the location to the beach. It was visible from our balcony, and we were able to safely walk there without any issues. The room was small for two adults and a 60lb dog, but it was on the top floor, had a private balcony and we were unable to hear most of the outdoor commotion throughout the night. I was pleased with how easy check in and checkout was and both ladies I spoke with were very pleasant. This location was just down from the pier and the main street so walking to any shops was easy. I would say this room was more so for someone who was going to be gone all day as the table was outside and other than one chair inside you had to sit on the bed. Again we were on the top floor, I do not know what the other rooms were like.

We had a great stay! The hosts Daniel and Shannon were very nice and welcoming. We had made a reservation for a room that was much smaller than anticipated and they were kind enough to upgrade us to a room that was better suited for a family of 4. The room was large and had many windows, with a nice view and 2 A/Cs (one in the living area and one in the large bedroom). Very comfortable.

Maybe the shower curtains and backsplash need a bit of love, but it was clean and all in all, still really worth the stay when you think of all the positives.

We really appreciated that Shannon changed our room, from a cramped, tiny room with no closet, no hooks, no room for our suitcases or anything we brought with us, to a different one, a very beautiful room in the Captain's house. Had we not spoken to Shannon, we would have left because the room, #4, was so terrible. She is a wonderwoman! We also loved how close to the beach the New Oceanic Inn is.

We hated the first room that apparently was for us, room #4. It was tiny, room only for a double bed pushed right against the wall, and terribly squashed in bathroom. No nightstand, no closet, no hooks anywhere, no desk, no bureau (there was no room for any of those), nowhere to put our suitcases, coats, or anything else. #4 was the smallest room we had ever seen, and certainly NOT appropriate for 2 guests.

I wanted the whole experience of Maine ! The historical houses etc . So it was a good vacation for us. It’s right by the beach too and the pier. Tons of places to go eat and drink .

I seen other reviews talking about it needing some updating . That’s what they are seeming to be doing . It’s a process especially that they are older . But like I was saying I value that and that’s what I was looking for . Now if you want a fancy hotel you going to have to pay for that fancy .

We very much appreciated the service provided as we arrived from the Manager. And it was a night arrival at 9h50 pm. She explained us were to park in their parking, Upgraded us to room 18 since it was empty and on the 2nd floor (instead of 3rd). Get our luggages to our room (thanks Jeremy!). Made sure tv was working and other appliances as well. We slept like babies on a very confortable bed and absolute silence. And since it was low season, she offered us not to stress to check out in the morning. We appreciated the modern touch, like coloured sheets, colored towels and nice deco on the walls. I had read some negatives comments about this hotel. None of those applied when we were there.

I mentionned already to Jeremy that a small shelf should be installed on the walls, close to the heads of beds, so we can put our stuff. Cell, glasses, books, etc. Or better, make a small ''niche'' into the wall. Beside that nothing to add.

The price was good and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Close to the beach. When you wanted quiet all you had to do was close your door. This is an older place with quirks. But worth it. Bed comfortable the restaurant at the front door was really good for food. Close to palace playland and shops. Very walkable

One of the quirks is bathroom is literally in the room with just a curtain to separate it. But if you are traveling by yourself it is ok

The location was walking distance to the strip with all the restaurants, shop’s, arcade & amusement park. It’s right across from the beach & it also has a small porch with a table and chairs. Parking was right outside our room. It was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook if we wanted to with a big fridge and ice machine. It was about 25 minutes to Portland.

The 2 woman at the front desk were friendly & helpful as well. It could use an update on things and better locks on doors but other then that it was good for what we needed it for, which was just to sleep at night.
