The location of the Cottages & Lofts is fantastic — you're right on a wharf, so you have the feeling of traveling by boat but with the comforts of your own self-service unit. We were in the Upper Mermansion so we had a great view. The unit is very efficiently organized and has pretty much all the equipment you need. More than enough bath towels, etc. were provided. The included bikes were very handy — didn't have to rent separately, saving $$.

There were a few hiccups with using the bikes (at first the staff didn't realize that dedicated bikes came with our unit) and a couple of other small issues that were easily solved. The bathroom is a bit small but we managed! The only thing we missed in the kitchen was an electric tea kettle and potholders (used one of the plenty washcloths instead).

Perfect location! A short walk from the ferries in case you don't have a car, close to lots of nearby shops/restaurants, & located right on the docks for fantastic views. The staff here could not be nicer or more helpful. Clean & comfortable.

Our cottage could definitely use a little update. The flooring had some discoloration issues & scuff marks from doors not fitting properly. Our bathroom door in particular didn't open fully so we kept bumping into it every time we tried to walk out. And, the hot water didn't stay very hot for very long. Bed was super creaky.

The location was wonderful with a water view and within walking distance to the downtown area, the historic neighborhood district, and the ferry.

The heater in the master level didn't work. But, I wasn't sure I was operating it correctly, so I did not report it.

Location, Location, spacious, washer and dryer, daily clean up, kitchen, and airy. We could use the facilities at the white elephant and enjoy their property

The smaller bedroom was very stuffy. There was only a storm window -no fresh air as in the living room.

I loved the location and the privacy. I felt like I was close to all but had privacy as well. The proximity to shopping made it very convenient to prepare food in our cottage when I did not wish to go out to eat.

The Wifi did not work on the first day. The staff did get it fixed after I reported it.

The location was great. They had free bike rentals which we all enjoyed! The office offered free lemonade and frozen treats which was very much appreciated. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The location was excellent - so nice to be able to walk instead of dealing with traffic and taxis. If you did want to go anywhere though, the complimentary shuttle was so convenient and nice. They also provided all the beach stuff you needed (already in the van!) so you never had to deal with gear! Loved the view (we were up high). The boat and people watching was very fun. The bed was also comfortable.

The bathroom, especially the shower, was very small and the water pressure was pretty bad. We managed no problem, but others might take issue with it. It was definitely busy all around too, depending on the time of day, with people on the docks and boats coming in and out. We thought this was part of the fun, but if you’re looking for a quiet getaway, this place might not be for you!

It was so beautiful with sweeping views of the harbor. Magical in every way. Very pricey. We were located in a quiet location which was perfect for us. Would do it all over again.

Price is quite high

The location is incredible, unique, and closely located to everything you could want to do. Staff is excellent and the views are wonderful. 10 out of 10 recommend and will be back!

Loved the bicycles that came with the rental free of the cottages! Loved the location, it was absolutely beautiful!

I think they need to invest in a bathroom renovation.
