The property manager was splendid, accommodating, and made every effort to make our stay pleasant, which it was. Property was reasonably priced, very clean, and within a good, safe environment. Also, the room was technologically advanced with almost individually-accessed wi-if and excellent remote control of the heating and air conditioning.

Property is somewhat remote from Manistique, although not inconveniently so, and the room was small and somewhat dark.

We could tell that this motel was well cared for and managed from our first meeting with the owner to our first impression of the room. Everything was clean and well maintained and the bed was comfortable. We were provide free coffee, fruit and breakfast bars at the office in the morning. The host was very hospitable and friendly.

Maybe add a robe hook in the bathroom and night stands on both sides of the beds. Lots of motels and hotels seem to neglect those little conveniences.

The booking process was easy. It was very clean and tidy. Bed was super comfortable. Location was perfect. The small refrigerator had a separate freezer that enabled us to freeze some water bottles for our cooler. Most little fridges just have that separate compartment drawer that never really freezes the water bottles. So we were happy to have this. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Ron gave a great recommendation for where to go for a Friday Fish Fry.

Owner lives on premises and was very friendly. He was so helpful in identifying places for us to explore and dine. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. He was open to suggestions and seemed to be constantly working on improvements. He made a fire each night with plenty of chairs to sit around it. Breakfast was not advertised, but he provided fresh fruit, cereal bars, and great coffee. We look forward to coming again!

Needed an electrical outlet in the bathroom to plug in the hairdryer. The owner acknowledged the need and has plans to update those fixtures. He had recently purchased the motel and is working on improvements as soon as possible.

The room was super cute. It was decorated nicely with a northwoods theme and I loved the quilts on the bed. The bathtub and tile in the bathroom was straight out of the 1950s or 60s but very clean and well kept. I was happy to give my son the experience of a roadside motel with the comfort of a clean room..

The walls were a little thin - we could hear the television next door pretty clearly when we were going to bed but that is not a surprise.

I liked that all 5 of us adults could stay in one room. The room size was substantial, we were not all over each others feet. The mini fridge and Mic was nice.

The door was a little janky for the bathroom as well as the outside. The outside door did shut and lock but you had to fanagle it. The bathroom door was swelled and would not shut but it would stay closed. Kind of petty but there was no radio.

Love finding these restored motels. you get to back up to your front door & unload your stuff, and if you forget something or want to put it back in the car. it’s right there. The owner, Dan, was professional, while also being super friendly and helpful. He not apathetic like some can be. The bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. Nice to have a fridge in the room, as I’m on a long road trip and not eating out for every meal, which saves a lot of money and just eat so much more healthy that way. Location was great! Just a couple minutes outside the hubbub of town and way quieter. it sits back from the Highway, so that also makes it quieter. I didn’t hear other motel guests other than when a car door would shut and there were others right next to me I’d highly recommend this to friends and in fact am doing so in a travel Google doc I’m sharing with friends.

Can’t think of anything I disliked.

Ronn was a fantastic host, making us feel very welcome at this charming motel along the highway. This classic, retro motel had all the essential amenities, including a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and TV—amenities that some big hotels could learn from. I highly recommend this place if you're ever in the Manistique area and looking for a place to stay.

The rooms were immaculate. The beds were sailor fitted sheets looked ironed on the bed it was that perfect with 4 big Oh so darn comfy pillows all to yourself and yes I bounced a quarter off my bed and my friend laughed ...I said now thats is a bed that was elegantly put together and quaint. Its the little touches like that, that make you smile. 😃

There wasn't one thing that I could come up with that needed attention. I liked the fact they they will be adding horse shoe pits and some games for recreational activities NICE!

staff was exceptionally friendly. my dog was very welcome. perfect location in between attractions like Pictured Rock and Mackinac Island. comfortable room, has everything needed for my stay (like fridge, microwave and air conditioner)

water temperature in the shower wasn't consistent - was going from cold to hot all the time. Wi-Fi wasn't reliable - 2 out of 4 days it wasn't working and since there was almost no cellular service either it was a bit inconvenient
