did not have breakfast although it smelled good as I was checking out. The Decor was good. The people at the front desk were super nice.

I didn't know when I booked the hotel that it was elderly friendly. They don't have an elevator which was not good for me and my knees. One of the lights beside the bed didn't work but I didn't call the front desk since the others worked. I guess I needed a handicap accessible room.

It was surprising to find such a clean easy to locate premise. The added surprise were the gaming amenities in the center court. The bedroom was small, but perfect for our overnight stay. Might become uncomfortable if we stayed for more than 3 days. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was offered, but we didn't eat it. If you're looking for a stay over for a couple of days, this place is heads and shoulders above the chain hotels. Oh, and pool is gorgeous.

The night view is beautiful with the lights everywhere and the pool was very beautiful as well. The room was nicely decorated and roomy. The beds were comfortable also. The room has a nice retro feel to it.

I didn't like that I had to leave lol. But I guess if I have to complain, it would be the stairs area is a little secluded. But its really not that big of a deal.

The rooms were extremely clean. The service to the room was excellent. This was our 2nd time there and even though it was the 42nd Annual BBQ, the guests staying there were extremely considerate and abided by the pool rules. All outside guests were in their rooms at a reasonable time. We will be staying there again.

The room was clean however there were some maintenance issues that need attention.

The curtain hooks were missing and it was too high to reach. Spots in chair and carpet. A piece of the table was torn and a water leak stained the ceiling. The front desk [blonde] did not know how to set the temperature.

Loved the funky-fifties decor, the courteous staff, the sparkling pool with fountains, the more-than-adequate breakfast, the cleanliness, the comfortable bed, and more. I admit I didn’t expect much from this aging motel edifice from an old lady’s youth, tacky writ large. It was memorable, though, for all the best reasons. I will be back next time I’m in Kinston.

Oh, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. A more comfortable chair for reading in our room? A TV-free place to enjoy my coffee? Minor stuff.

Breakfast was ok but coffee was just bad. Keurig in the rooms was one thing but the breakfast bar deserved better

Steps to upper floor are very steep and I suspect not up to code. Adding a freestanding elevator in a corner of the pool enclosure would be a boon for folks like me with bad knees and probably for housekeepers too and make it much more user friendly to get to the pool deck from the upper floor. V. awkward to have to go outside the complex to re-enter through a locked gate to make that transition.

Location is perfect, the hotel is adorable and VERY clean

We booked a Queen suit but we’re given a double room. There was a wedding coming that weekend so we were told they were getting the suits even though we were there 4 days and some of the wedding was only there for 1 night. The room we were given did not have a coffee pot or microwave. It was definitely cramped for an extended stay, perfect for an overnight visit. Definitely not happy about not getting the room we reserved AND had confirmation for.

I loved the colorful decor and the beautiful pool area. I loved that it's an eco lodge and has an environmentally conscious busienss model. I would love to go again for a weekend where I could just stay in town and enjoy the local arts district.

The desk clerk was not particularly cordial when we checked out. Didn’t ask if we enjoyed our stay. Didn’t appreciate our business. Did not encourage us to come back. the tone was somewhere between perfunctory and dismissive. Everything else absolutely wonderful. we plan to return in the next few weeks.
