It was relatively clean. I am the owner of a cleaning business, and so I just naturally noticed things that aren’t clean, but I would’ve cleaned… But everything was very surface level clean, and I was mostly happy with the clean level. I love that there were two separate rooms on two separate floors, but in reality they were not very far apart. The rooms were spacious, and the furniture was all very comfortable. Our room was not facing the lake, but it was still very beautiful as it was facing all the trees and we got to see the foliage.

Some of the drawers had not been swept out, and the Jacuzzi jets were kicked on with brown stuff, and one of the slip mats had on the bottom… my bed comforter had brown smudges on it, which I thought was absolutely disgusting… And one of the body washcloths had brown smudges on it as well. That stuff should not have happened… But other than that, everything was pretty clean. However, brown smudges on anything is never OK Also, I didn’t notice the smell on the kids bed, which was the room upstairs, but in the master bedroom, the top quilted blanket, smelled used and kind of like smoke. It either needs to be thrown away or have a deeper wash done… It made me wonder if it was even washed .

The property is very comfortable and great for a family wanting to get away to the mountains. It is not new, but well maintained. The location and amenities are what keep bringing us back to Saphire Valley. My kids chose to come back here for the 5th time (it has been a couple of years) and we had a blast! Fishing, swimming, putt-putt (free), all the gorgeous waterfalls, soccer golf ($11 pp), tennis, the lake (with rentals), the zipline on the ski course (right across from the community center and the prices are great)- the list goes on and on. Make sure to go to "Cashiers Sliding Rock" waterfall (free) to literally slide down a fall (super crisp mountain water, but really neat)! It is appropriate for 3-4 years on up. Most people slide on thier bottom, but little ones might want an intertube. There are plenty of free things to do around here. There is no reason to be board, and it doesn't break the bank!

Booking needs to do a little better communicating about how to check in and that if you are after 5:00 or 6:00 you have to go to the "Public Safety" office to check in- they were very nice and quick, but it's really weird.

The unit, 1463, was beautifully decorated, and nicely laid out for a townhouse. Everything was very comfortable. It had great amenities with the club, which we took advantage of by playing at the tennis facility. It was such a great deal, too.

The communication with the office was almost non-existent. I needed instructions for a late checkin, which were not posted in the Booking.com information. I messaged the property twice and got no feedback so upon arriving, I had to call and found someone to give us instructions. It was a bit stressful, since the phones don' have connection in very many places in that region. It would be helpful to post the late checkin instructions in the listing.

The area with the leaves turning was beautiful. There many very nice gold courses to play. Local towns were cute to walk around and shop in and there were some good restaurants. Loved having a wood burning fireplace in the living room.

I was told there would be breakfast in the community center on Tuesday morning but when we went there the man at the desk said, •We haven’t had breakfast for a month!”. They lost their chef. The unit had a newish kitchen but overall it was a bit dated. We didn’t mind that though some higher end people might not like that.

The amount of space and location were great. The value was very good and overall we were very pleased.

The appliances were dated and the dishwasher was hard to start. One sliding glass door was hard to slide and the shower in the smaller bedroom did not work. Maybe we could have used more force to cut it on but did not want to do that. We worked around the problems and had a good vacation.

The staff was extremely accommodating. Miss Audrey did something very special for me and turned my whole trip into nothing but just the best time with the best view.

When I went online and paid forr our room it showed where we should be overlooking the water and when we got there that was not our room. Well of course I was upset but I did not cause a scene. I am a Christian so I kept my calm and I told this nice lady at the front desk that that was not what I paid for. Let me tell you she said let me see what I can do for you. She handled it immediately and I got the room that I paid for and I have never been so excited in my life. She saved the day she deserves a big praise

Our unit was on the lake. It was beautiful to sit and rock on the balcony at the water's edge. How relaxing!

The map to the unit was unusable. The roads did not have the names on them so that we could not determine which road we were on and how the other units were configured on the map. We were driving around in the dark for over an hour before we finally found the unit. The streets in the development need better signage and building numbers and unit numbers need to be more prominently displayed.

The location was great, it was quiet and clean unit. We loved the double balconies and table to eat outside. Great recreation center with lots to do for everyone and it was never very crowded. Loved the master suite.

Outdoor pool closed at an early 8pm in July, probably due to short staffing. The put put course was undergoing renovations second day we were there in July, but it really needs the update. We had to unplug the washer/dryer each time used because they both couldn't be plugged into same outlet together.

I love the cabin it was very nice and perfect for our family and a great location. Also love the shampoo amenities that were provided was above and beyond what was expected.

Our key pad on our door did not work well. We had to get new keys the first day and then by Wednesday we had to get another new key. We would suggest that this be replaced or fixed prior to someone else renting our unit.

It was a nice surprise to have the Community Center and Rec Center amenities. We enjoyed playing table tennis and mini-golf, plus shooting pool there, Thanks for that! Also, the River Walk behind the outdoor pool area is a pleasant, flat, easy hike through the woods - about 3/4 of a mile round trip.

The lighting in the living room is poor. It was difficult to comfortably read. Since you can't check in until 4 p.m., and you have to check out by 10 a.m., you're really paying for a day and a half, not two days' stay, which makes it pricey.
