Each room having a balcony and the view of the countryside says it all. The rooms were extremely clean and quiet. Our room was facing the main street, but we never heard the traffic. The free continental breakfast was nice. Also, a special treat was the evening snack in the dining area of popcorn and cookies, plus the availability of juice, coffee, and water 24/7. The staff was very pleasant -- in fact, the employee at the desk even came outside with us to get our picture in front of the Inn's sign. The location was perfect. The restaurant and the chocolate shop were next door, and it was a very short drive to the flea market and the cheese store. Highly recommend staying at the Carlisle in Walnut Creek!

I possibly would suggest a couple more trash cans in the room.

This place is exceptional! Super clean, beautiful location and TERRI at the front desk is so kind, so friendly and so knowledgeable…you can surely tell that she loves her job and the people she meets. The lady that does the breakfast in the mornings is also very kind and so helpful. And then there is the gentleman in the evening that serves up the cookies and popcorn…what a gem! We will never stay anyplace else when visiting this area. There just simply cannot be anything better than the Carlisle Inn, Walnut Creek ♥️

Beautiful views from atop the hill in all directions. At first I thought it odd that the breakfast area was on the second floor. However it turns out an excellent location. Being on the end of the building views in three directions. Very spacious too. I don't believe the breakfast attendant was prepared for the crowd that was there to view the eclipse. She did a wonderful job of trying to keep up with the influx of people for breakfast. This is a great location for exploring the Amish country of Ohio. Every staff member we encountered was very pleasant.

The mattress was long overdue to being replaced. I think we got the room with the poor mattress because of the discount we received thru booking.com This is the only downside to our visit

Close to places we can walk to and enjoy, next visit will request the opposite side of the building due to the sun and the way it was beaming down on the private deck. No fault of the property itself just a choice of my own.

Some of the front staff was not professional to work with public. I am in the retail profession as well I managed a restaurant and you should always try to be friendly and approachable. This was not the case. Made us feel unwelcome.

Beautiful hotel. The balcony was a bonus over looking the Amish countryside. Excellent continental breakfast. The staff was wonderful always greeting you.

Our room was on the second floor and every time the people walked ,on the room above us, we heard them. This made it difficult to fall and stay asleep. Next time we are definitely asking for the 3rd floor room. Other than this, I would have rated it all 5’s. But we will definitely stay here again.

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek. Every member of the staff greeted us with a smile and a friendly face - making us feel at home. Our room was exceedingly clean, view from our balcony of the countryside was beautiful, breakfast was one of the best we’ve had on our many trips and we could not have asked for a more perfect anniversary stay (delicious cupcakes were waiting for us when we arrived). We definitely recommend staying at Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek to any and everyone. We will definitely be back!

It rained a little bit which ended up being a blessing as we sat on our balcony and enjoyed a double rainbow.

The location is beautiful, and the property is well cared for. The complimentary breakfast never disappoints, lots of options to choose from, both cold and hot. We especially love the biscuits and gravy.

The rooms are lovely and we love the quilts on the beds. However, the beds are too firm for our liking and there is only one pillow on each side of the bed. They do provide one extra in the room and I'm sure you could ask for more, but we'd like to see more pillows on the bed. It's not as comfortable as we'd like. We brough our own pillows this time. The showers are very nice with good water pressure. If you stay at the Walnut Creek location, be aware that one side of the hotel sits directly on the road. We have stayed here several times and each time we are on the roadside. Not ideal, but not awful. Would prefer the valley side to enjoy the view and some quiet. Was informed that you need to request that when booking your room.

Very clean, nicely decorated for Christmas, very kind and caring staff, nice touch having cookies and popcorn until 9pm and delicious breakfast until 10am

Liked it all, not really a negative but my daughter and I felt like we were in a nursing home with the sterile feeling in the hallways and how quiet everyone was.

The view was exceptional, with a private balcony on our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful, going out of their way for us on several occasions with suggestions as we were new to the area.. The breakfast was outstanding, as well as the home baked cookies for a nighttime snack. The lounges were nice and we enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. The inn was beautifully decorated for the holidays and very clean and quiet. We enjoyed using the pool at the affiliated hotel.

Nothing about the inn, but people should be aware that Everything in the area is closed on Sundays. We got a suggestion for where to drive for a nice meal though.

It was wonderful being able to fully relax in my room because it was so clean. The walk-in shower was beautiful too, and I loved all the local artisan items throughout the hotel. All the staff were friendly, but Natalie and Marcie(?), went the extra mile, on the slow Sunday night that I was there, to make my time there feel welcoming. My stay was absolutely relaxing and peaceful.

There really wasn't anything I didn't like. If I had to say something, maybe the convenience toiletries were a little thin for my taste, but they worked great!
