the room needed updating, but was clean and comfortable.....good restaurants near by as Sapore Restaurant...also visited a winery called Radical Wine Company. We only stayed one night to go to a concert in Jim Thorpe, Mauch Chunk opera house about a 20 minute drive. Breakfast was descent and had waffles, cereals, yogurt, juices and delicious coffee. We'd stay again for another short similar get away! kinda dumpy but beds were comfortable and the heater was good and warm!

always like a couch to sit and watch tv...but we were not there to even turn the TV on!

This was our second stay at the Mahoning Inn and we'll surely be back again the next time we're in the area! The building has a quaint, homey, retro feel to it and it's just so charming. They still use real keys for the rooms vs keycards! I love it! The rooms are always very clean--honestly the cleanest of any hotel/motel/airbnb, etc we've ever stayed in. The staff is always friendly and helpful and we feel welcome anytime we're in the lobby grabbing breakfast, brochures, etc. Highly recommend!

The only thing I can think of is maybe a few extra rolls of toilet paper stashed somewhere in the room. Aside from that, I can't think of anything I would've changed about our experience

The front desk staff is very friendly, and the dormitory is neat, with TV and refrigerator.Microwave ovens, iron machines and equipment, and small clothes hangers, a dressing table, a small bench, window air conditioning, a hair dryer in the toilet, and tables and chairs outside the door to enjoy the cool. These are all good basic equipment, and there is a bedside table between the two beds.There is a simple American breakfast in the lobby, such as bread, toaster, coffee, tea, juice, etc., to satisfy the guests.

I found that there were no disposable slippers, no separate pot for boiling hot water, no disposable toothbrush and toothpaste, and a comb. The door lock I locked was old and difficult to open, and it would jam the key ...

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself is located very close to everything we wanted to do in the area. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Our checkout process went very smoothly and we were able to get back on the road quickly.

The room was a little shabby, and the sink in the bathroom was clogged. The window also had locks that seemed to be loose and easy to unlock from the outside.

It is very close to restaurants and they do give you breakfast. Cereal and you can make your own waffles, bagels, toast, coffee. Also close to state parks for fishing. The pictures on here our from outside of the room

Room was very clean. Polite and helpful staff. Nice little continental breakfast with good coffee. If I was in the area I would definitely stay here again. Very affordable and had a nice retro feel for a roadside motel without being seedy.

My only complaint is the heating/air conditioning unit is a bit loud and kept going on and off all night.

Nice property very friendly staff the room is exactly like the pictures. Parking right in front of your room nice breakfast spread in the morning coffee juice cereal yogurt and a variety of bread bagels and muffins.

I pretty much liked everything about it. It was pretty dated. It has wood panel walls. But it was very comfortable .

It was great that they offered breakfast food even if we didn't use that service. The rooms were so nice...clean, roomy, convenient and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Mahoning Inn to family and friends.

The Mahoning Inn was perfect for what I needed it for - a place to sleep overnight to tour the town of Jim Thorpe. The room was spacious, there was a refrigerator, a king sized bed, it was clean and the price was right. The front desk staff was super nice and they had a basic continental breakfast in the morning. It was exactly what I expected - a roadside motel, but a very clean version of that! If you're looking for a fancy chain hotel, this is not for you. If you need a clean, comfortable, spacious place to stay, I can recommend the Mahoning Inn.

I usually don't wake up in time for breakfast so I can't comment on that but location can't be beat just outside of Jim Thorp a historic little town then not far from Bethlehem just 5 miles away from the world's largest country store.

The only thing I did not like was how fast time goes seams like I just get there and then it's time to leave
