The staff were friendly and service was on point each step of the way and happy to share tips and recs for local interests and favorite spots. Decent price and located close to ample dining options and several sites. Close to all the downtown attractions while being away from the chaos and noise of it all. A peaceful place to rest. The beds were comfy and the blankets had that slight weight and extra softness to them that helps one fall asleep. Folks seemed to feel at home who were staying there.our room was clean and tidy and had a great black out curtain. The desk came in handy for eating in the room and for working when needed. The added perk of a wardrobe in room was nice, too. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if/when returning for another trip or event.

The AC unit in our room was older and showed it’s use as it struggled to keep room cool, but lowering set temp to 62 helped keep it comfortable. Updating the paint and carpet in the hallways would go a long way for first impressions. Only 1 of the 3 outlets between the beds worked and the 1 phone charge port that had any electricity to it would charge for a few minutes then stop and the right side lamp would turn itself off and on sporadically when in use. Updates to basic electrical units would up their ratings, I’m sure...I always travel with multiple charging batteries and cords so we were not as affected by this as other travelers might be.

The room was clean (and trust me, I check everything when I go in!), it was nice & quiet, & our bed was comfortable! I slept well!

Breakfast was a box breakfast, nothing much. Unfortunately many hotels are using Covid as the excuse to not getting back to serving hot breakfasts. Quite honestly, when paying $100 or more for a room when all you pretty much do is sleep there & shower, I don’t think a good hearty breakfast is too much to ask. The toilet was coming loose, when you moved, it moved with you & the seat kept sliding when you sat down! The front desk clerk could have been (a lot) more friendly! You really need employees who greet your customers with a smile & act like they actually want them there, not the case with her!

This hotel is transitioning from a (fairly run down) Hampton Inn to a Holiday Inn, the staff told us. Some important upgrades have already happened: the bed was *exceptionally* comfortable, shower head is a new one, desk area and its lighting very nice. Looked like a new fridge.

Clear signs of wear on walls and trim, water damage, etc. The bedside lighting was jarringly bright, with no dimmer adjustment. "Grab & go" breakfast was minimal: bottle of water, small granola fruit bar. The small container of cut fruit was appreciated, tho. The new toilet's handle didn't flush easily: we needed to remove the lid and pull the chain by hand.

I experienced very friendly hospitality with staff The room was clean I liked that coffee was always available The location is very accessible but away from all the congestion of the city

I don't like that there is no breakfast buffet I did't like how I had to access getting into the parking lot of hotel from the other side of the road and ( very dark at night, sign is not lit to see )

The staff was quick to bring the requested items to the room. The suite shop had reasonably priced items and the on-demand coffee and breakfast-to-go were appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable.

The room was lacking a hair dryer and the mirror was cracked in the bathroom. Staff shouldn't talk about how understaffed they are and say how it would be very hard to get fired from their job. I was also hoping that the sign would have been uncovered and not in a blue tarp and that the water fountain garden would have been cleaned up by now. Same signs from 14 months ago.

Hot tub was nice, but the water could have been hotter. Beds were very comfortable! Gentlemen in the morning was very cheerful and you could tell he liked his job.

When we checked in, there was no one there. I looked for a button to push for assistance but didn't see one. I walked around calling. "Hello, hello?" Finally a lady came out, looked liked we interrupted her supper. She checked us in, but then the toilet leaked. She found us a different room and everything was great. The TV signal kept kicking off, but I don't think it was hotels fault.

I liked the jacuzzi tub (why we chose this hotel) and the amount of parking available.

It wasn’t the cleanest. Something was spilled on the bathroom floor and I had to clean it up. Made me wonder how clean the rest of the bathroom was. Also, the breakfast was lackluster. It’s literally a brown paper bag—good luck knowing what flavors of anything you’re grabbing. I got a berry muffin (not a fan), nutrigrain bar (not a fan), oranges in juice, and orange juice in mine. Why is the lobby so nice if you can’t even sit down there for breakfast?

The room was very clean & uniquely decorated. Staff was friendly & helpful. Overall decorated nicely & clean.

Hallways weren't lit very well, gave me kind of a creepy feeling. The "continental breakfast" was lame! Paper bag with bottle of water, 2 cereal bars & fruit cup. Bathroom light & fan are on the same switch, annoying noise.

I have a sick daughter, and have had to go to Pittsburgh a lot over the past year. I have never been welcomed and treated with so much respect at any other hotel ever. Morning and night shift are #1 in my opinion. I call the McKnight Hotel my home in Pittsburgh. To top that off, all we need while there is located on McKnight road. Just makes everything so much easier.
