I like that the hotel is located close to the highway 83 which allows me to get across town quickly. I also like that it’s in a pretty area and close to the east side of town where I can quickly get out into the countryside. I like all of the amenities and having a restaurant on site. I also like to be able to order room service when I wanted it. The food is very good. I also like that they will entertain special requests. I requested to be on the first floor. They were happy to accommodate. Besides some of the best ice cream in the area is right next-door!

I would like it if they had a monthly rate. When I come to visit I like to stay a while. I would also like it if they had more than one disabled parking spot. This really did not cause a problem on this stay but when it is more busy it can cause issues if you arrive later in the evening.

This property is really nice, my son and I stayed while he went to camp in downtown York for a week, I took advantage of the golf course and driving range at this property. The hotel is good, the view from our 5th floor room facing the course was great! The golf course is really nice and well kept. The views from the course are amazing! The range is good, and has lights so you can practice until 10pm if you want. The best part about everything is the Avenue restaurant and bar. It has the most beautiful setting overlooking the golf course. I could spend hours just staring off into the distance. Staff is friendly and accommodating. This place is definitely a happening place in York….I’m not used to seeing this type of activity at a golf course restaurant…..great experience.

Great value. In addition, I realized at the last minute I confused the dates of my stay. The staff was more than accommodating and got my dates corrected with less a 24 hour notice. I can’t say how much I appreciated their understanding.

The ONLY thing that I have to say is they need to clean their irons better. If I hadn’t checked, the black gunk on the iron would’ve been on my white pants. I had to iron over a towel so I didn’t dirty my pants.

The staff was amazing. I was there for a hockey tournament and they were marvelous in the way they handled the energy of a group of 8 year old boys (and their parents). From the front desk, to the security, to the restaurant staff, we were always greeted with a smile and they went above and beyond to be helpful.

My only complaint is that the gym facilities are a bit of a walk from the hotel. Normally I wouldn't care but with several inches of snow on the ground, it would have been nice to have had it in the hotel.

There is a lively and busy pub on site, and the food is good. The outdoor patio at the pub is awesome, with an outdoor bar, fireplace, and raised/submerged seating areas. Kitchen closed at 10pm. They had live music on Saturday night. None of the sound carried to the room. They have a cooked, hot breakfast buffet in the pub. The beds and pillows are very nice.

The parking for the hotel fills up quickly and its on a hillside, so the overflow parking is the pub and golf course which is complicated to get back to the lobby and guest room levels. The toilets are not elongated bowls. There's no USB outlets for charging in the rooms. Its 90s chic.

Staff inside the hotel and outside at the avalanche Express were fantastic

Not much to offer in the way of prizes in the arcade. The crane machines were very ineffective and basically a waste of money. Very disappointing for the littles that were hoping to walk away with a prize. Consultation with the company that provides them is definitely needed.

1st floor room was great, BUT be sure your room isn't too close to building exit/entrance doors at end of hallway -- see frowny face comment.

The two exit/entrance doors at end of hallway lacked a mechanism to keep both doors from slamming in succession. So every time someone entered or exited, there was an annoying double slam-bang. (My room was the 4th door away from the end.)

I love the convenience of the location to where I need to be when I’m in town. I appreciate how quiet it is and how wonderful the staff is. The grounds are well taken care of and it is overall a very clean place.

It would be nice for some amenities to be more up to date. It would be nice if the television was a smart tv, and the two times I’ve stayed the bed linens were t the cleanest. Some parts of the room could be cleaned a bit better, but for the most part it’s an amazing place for the value.

The room was quiet (except for the air conditioning was noisy) and comfortable. Kind of odd that in 2 days, I did not see any maids cleaning rooms while I was in and out. The view of the golf course was very picturesque.

The hotel has no breakfast of room service. So, they should make a list of near-by places for breakfast. Very few amenities, no pool, etc. So not a great place for kids. But there is a mini-golf next door.

Comfortable and clean, quiet

We’re from out of town, passing through on the way home. The young lady at the front desk was polite and courteous but I had to ask about the wifi and if there’s a restaurant. On the other hand when I called the front desk in the morning to ask where breakfast was served, he flippantly said there’s only one restaurant behind the property and ´it’s fourteen bucks’. He was obviously annoyed.
