Pros: A charming, plantation-style manse with the big columns. We stayed in a ground floor room that was very spacious (it was meant for patrons with mobility issues). Our host was gracious. The breakfast was delicious, a combination of buffet (including Pop Tarts!) and eggs cooked to order with sausages. Location was great -- not so far off the highway. And for some reason, the price was the same as some of the big soulless corporate hotels (though I'm pretty sure that the price would go up when there's a PGA event in town). All around, a really nice stay!

The only con I can think of is the bed was firmer than we like. That's personal preference, of course, but I think Lookaway would do well to invest in even a 2-3 inch memory foam mattress pad. But honestly, that's my only beef.

What did I like? EVERYTHING. This place is stunning, gorgeous lovely. I absolutely loved it and wish we had more than one night. Check in was super simple John sent us a text before we arrived with greeting and parking location. The Inn is beautiful and our room was pretty and very comfortable. There is a lovely courtyard for relaxing right outside our door. The grounds are immaculate and then the inside will take your breath away elegant best describes . Breakfast choices were plentiful and they even whipped up eggs and sausage for us and chatted with us like we’re were new friends There aren’t enough positive verbs for this place I felt special staying here. Highly highly recommend

My stay was too short! In my clumsiness and not paying attention I did fall on walkway. Distracted by a cardinal !

The location was perfect. We did not get to experience the breakfast because my wife had a doctors appointment at 8:30 and breakfast wasn’t served till 7:30.

Only one comfortable chair in the room and one desk chair.

Amazing breakfast and delicious coffee in a uniquely charming and sophisticated Southern atmosphere.

I was surprised that there was no one on premise from the administration during the night, so it was unsettling if one needed something security wise.

We stayed at this lovely inn en route eastwards and wished we had stayed more than one night. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. John was great to deal with, very pleasant and helpful. He recommended a local restaurant which was excellent. The breakfast was good: fresh fruit; cereal; yogurts; bakery items and eggs cooked to order. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

The property is beautiful! It was like staying in a room at your great grandmother's home, with the hardwood floors and all the beautiful flowers and trees. The staff were so welcoming and kind.

The host, john, was exceptionally friendly. The accommodations were above and beyond.

The stay ended too quickly.

Beautiful antique B&B! Everything was excellent. Breakfast was made to order eggs, sausage and toast with fruit, with a good variety of breads and pastries also available.

Breakfast was very good, as was the location. John was pleasant and helpful in every way.

Small thing…no facial tissue in bathroom

The inn was really lovely. I liked that it was in a quiet location off the main road. The room was pretty, just as pictured on the website, and was spotless and very cozy. We enjoyed sitting on the private veranda and taking in the view. Breakfast was fine - I was not expecting a full buffet, and the owner cooked eggs to our preference and there was a nice array of breads, juice and fruit. Just enough to fuel up before hitting the road. I found it to be the perfect stop on our way through the area.

We were actually moved to a different room - the original had a plumbing issue. But the replacement room was just as great - so no issue there!
