An old fashioned hotel in the centre of a small town. It felt like going back in time, but not in a negative way. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable. Several restaurants around the corner. We had a nice mediterranean diner at Tuckerbox. Free parking behind the hotel.

No breakfast on Sunday.

The staff were just terrific – friendly and capable. The place has character and charm, this is NOT a cookie cutter hotel. Clean, plenty of space, fridge in room. Great location.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was in the heart of White River Junction - most places were within a five-minute walk. The lobby has a fireplace, and comfortable chairs that people always took advantage of. The staff always had someone on duty. There was always coffee - fresh brewed in the morning and a well-stocked Keurig at night. There are refrigerators in the rooms and a microwave in the lobby. The hotel offers a $4.50 breakfast voucher per person per day.

The hotel was built about 150 years ago, so the facilities are somewhat out of date. As long as you know this from the start, it isn't a problem.

Great location, comfortable room, economic price. It met my needs perfectly. Definitely would stay there again.

Good location, easy to find. It's a heritage hotel and kept in decent shape. I believe the man who checked me is Andrew - very efficient and personable. He recommended a sugar shack I should visit for a creemee! The lobby has a Keurig with more pods for different beverages than I've seen anywhere else. I took advantage of the hot chocolate. Very nice touch.

Hotel room was small, but fine for one person. The mattress on my bed sloped, not to the extent that I fell out of bed. The mattress was comfortable enough, just disconcerting because it sloped. Not the hotel's fault, but there is a lack of nearby restaurants for dinner.

The location was phenomenal. The workers were very friendly and helpful. The building is fascinating and we loved that it was attached to a breakfast location. The charm of the old building is exceptional and I really enjoyed the stay!

The rooms could use a little bit of updating and you should definitely add curtains in the bathroom. Consider one of those small coffee pots in each room so guests can have a cup before they get ready. Please also consider adding a small table in the bathroom near the sink so guests have a better place for toiletries. Also, the shower and sink didn't have a flat place for soap. It just rolled or slipped off everything.

I loved the historic features and feel of this hotel and glad to read other travellers got the same vibe as I did overlooking the fact it is old and not visually as aesthetic as some modern hotels. This hotel definitely has history. The guy who checked us in was friendly and super helpful. The beds seemed old but I slept ok in my bed. Loved that some rooms including ours had another bedroom with a bathroom between. A great location with plenty of amenities for the traveller in town. I hear the owner wants to knock it down so if that's true then I'm glad we got to appreciate it before it's razed to the ground Once it's gone it's gone for good and all it's history with it.

Maybe the train travelling through at 04.30 am hooting and tooting but it didn't really annoy me! Be prepared for outside noise because of its location and older glazing.

It's a very cool, historic hotel. It has a lot of character to it, and I adored my quaint hotel room. It's in a good location as well and has some cool shops within walking distance. Everything was clean and functional; I would definitely stay here again if I come back to White River Junction.

I kept in mind that this is a very old hotel. However, the room doors were normal wooden doors and any noise in the hallway is audible from within your room. It was a quiet hotel, but I could hear anyone walking by, doors opening/closing, and keys jingling. My shower pressure was not as high as I like it to be. There was a mini-fridge, but I would have appreciated if there was a microwave as well.

This property is great value. It also can be very convenient as it is right across from the Amtrak Station. The staff were awesome and beyond hospitable. Additionally, if you need parking it is included and near by to the property.

As was expected this is an older property. So this comes with creaking radiators, showers that take a while to get hot, and just that "historic" feel. I found it to be fine but I could see how some people may not see it to be as charming. Due to the location, I would say prepare accordingly for any late night food.

We loved the old feeling of the place, like traveling back in time. A large and interesting building. Lots of history and highly recommend asking to see the murals in the Vermont room and walking the halls to see the historic pictures in the walls. Andrew at the front desk was there for our check-in and checkout and was friendly, knowledgeable and knew the place and was proud of it. Our family loved the family room with twin beds. Coffee in the lobby was fantastic.

It is an older building! Bear this in mind if you aren't willing to see some of the ceiling leaks or fun idiosyncrasies that come with an old building.
