Surprisingly, this hotel checked all the boxes for things we appreciate in a hotel. As for breakfast, we didn't expect much due to it being a continental breakfast but it was tasty, fresh and was being restocked the entire time we were in the dining area (waffles, DELICIOUS packaged cinnamon coffee cake, bagels). Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, very quiet, no obvious smells, the beds had quilted mattress covers and we slept very well, the bathroom was updated more than some other hotels we've stayed in and the thermostat kept the room at just the right temperature. Water pressure and water temp was great and I really liked that the water was softer than what we have at home. The hotel rooms are enclosed, there were luggage carts right inside the lobby door, and the carpets appeared to be clean and updated. I was pleasantly surprised that the stay was quite good, even compared to our other stays in hotels that cost $200 plus a night. Just because you pay more doesn't always mean you'll get more so we were extra leery of this being a lower end brand. But from now on, this Super 8 will be our halfway stop when traveling to WV. The hotel owner, manager, staff and hospitality/cleaning crew are to be commended for providing an unexpected value and excellent service. One tip when booking: we went online while we were driving around looking for a place to stay and we got an awesome rate at this Super 8 with our AAA discount that brought it down $50 from what we would've paid had we stepped inside the lobby to get the room. I don't know exactly how that works but it's something we do all the time now unless we've made reservations ahead of time to match travel plans. One more thing - we found a hardback spiral notebook in the nightstand with colorful pictures and information about local sights and restaurants. Very professionally done.

The only negative thing I can recall is that the tub plug didn't work. I always carry a silicone plug with me just in case there's not a tub plug (this is a common issue no matter what hotel we stay in), so this issue didn't inconvenience me. But honestly, I've had the exact same problem with expensive resort hotels in large cities. It seems like hotels don't realize that some people still like tub baths....

Breakfast was delicious, everything was clean and neatly organized for easy access. Staff was kind and courteous. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends. Next time I come this way I would happily stay again.

We have no complaints. We came in very late at night, we had traveled 700 miles that day. When we got there, we were received with kindness and the time of day didn’t seem to bother them.

staff was very friendly, i think they are the best i ever met i will definitely be staying there again as i travel alot.

vending machine on third floor was not working so had to go down to first floor, breakfast was ok but coffee was really weak. couldnt find any creamer for coffee about 9am took a shower and water was not hot at all but other than that was a good experience

The bed was comfy, the room clean, and the location was great. The staff was helpful and courteous.

The breakfast was more of a snack, but for the cost of the room it served its purpose.

I liked that the hotel was close to restaurants & convenience stores

I didn't like that the police were always parking in the way of the hotel exit
