This property is a throw back to the ‘Dirty Dancing’ era with a retro feel. My kids LOVE it: pool, hot tub, paddle board, sand. They could seriously play ten hours happily. The sunsets are amazing. I would Come back every time I’m in Door County, it’s that cool. So much serene lake front and gorgeous views everywhere you look.

The only thing that sucks is the food at their Top Deck restaurant. They need to get that right, it’s been sub par for a long time. So we just eat elsewhere.

The lake was practically right out of our back door. We were able to sit on our little patio and enjoy the evening. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed a little something new each day. The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable.

We stayed in the hotel and were able to hear the people in the room next to us. It made us wonder how much of what we said they could here. The room was not very soundproof. One of the reasons we booked here was because there is a restaurant on the grounds. We were very disappointed to learn that it would be closed for two of the three days we were there. I didn't like that you had to go outside to the soda machine and ice maker. Very inconvenient.

Love the location and layout of the property. The apartment was quite nice in size and layout and the bathroom huge compared to what I typically see in hotels/resorts. The maintenance person happened to come around as we were trying to get into the room because the key wasn't opening the door. He tried several times as well and even tried his master key and it was stuck until finally giving pushes on the door and something freed up and was fine after that. He was very nice and cordial during the process.

The air conditioner didn't seem to be able to help with the humidity in the room and was somewhat cold. We turned it off for about an hour since it was cool outside as well and when I turned it back on a while before going to bed it seemed like it was working better?.?.? Also the bed was supposed to be a queen size and it looked more like a full size to us. We weren't exactly cramped in the bed so not sure considering we have a queen size at home; bed was pretty comfy.

The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented in a lovely dining hall overlooking the water and grounds. The landscaping is gorgeous! The water and ability to sit on the pier was so relaxing. The only thing I would rate as not top-notch was the cabin we stayed in. Not much room. It was very clean and adequate, but compared to everything else, it was not as good. I would go back anytime I got a chance. We found all of the people in Wisconsin extremely friendly. You have a beautiful state!!!

A beautiful property! We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage overlooking Lake Michigan. The breakfast included was delicious.

A minor downside was the bathroom door in one of the bedrooms literally hit the king bed when opened. Also we travel with coolers and the small refrigerator didn’t have even a small freezer to keep our cold packs frozen. Nothing that would prevent us from returning though.

Staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was good & hot. We stayed in a 1 room cottage & it was very clean & cozy. We enjoyed the screened in room, even in the rain. It was the peaceful getaway we were looking for. We would definitely come back.

Nothing bad, but bring some Off as it is wooded.

The location was absolutely stunning! We had such a good time and very relaxing stay. The breakfast menu is really good as well

King Bed with a view: We just did not like the layout of the bathroom. It is very small and the toilet is structured right at the door and it is very uncomfortable. But overall, not a big deal

Clean room, nice hiking trails, excellent location & good breakfast

Toilet was not working when we arrived in the afternoon. Maintenance arrived promptly when I called, but when we returned from dinner out it was not working (all night). Called again in the morning and it was taken care of, but a tough night without working toilet!

The location

The behavior of one staff, lady staff at the front counter. Very rude, not answering questions. She was always answering big NOs only. I was very upset when I asked questions to her. It was the morning when I was checking out. Trust me next time if I did not go to this lodge, it will be due to her.

Everything was absolutely lovely- the location, the grounds, the walking paths, the views and the room. The breakfast buffet was delicious and there were a lot of yummy options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back again!
