I enjoyed the facilities, especially the pool which was not too crowded and a great way to cool heat in the heat. The hotel was fairly close to a lot of the attractions I wanted to visit. Only thing I wished was more things would be open later. And I had great interactions with most of the staff, the receptionists, the cleaners and the people during breakfast

I wish the property was more sustainable. There’s a lot of single use items in the bathroom that don’t need to be there. Also I was put off during the check out process. The manager suggested adding a 10 star review and proceeded to sit next to me, trying to watch me write the review.

Au Lac is an elegant hotel in the centre of Saigon. All the interior of the hotel is stylish. The rooms are nicely furnished with all amenities like good TV, kettle, safe, toiletries etc.. Our - Suite with Balcony - had a balcony which is an advantage. Breakfast was tasty & versatile. The hotel offers a small pool with a bar and loungers on 11th floor - very nice perk. The staff is kind, helpful and informative. We bought a trip to the delta from them and it was good. Definitely recommended hotel.

The room was advertised as 35 m2, in fact was more like 22 m2:-)

Location was perfect. In leafy area of district 3. Close to war museum. Lots of cafes close by. Walking distance to district 1 Roof top bar and restaurant with small pool was perfect for relaxing.

Executive room did not have a separate bathroom from the sleeping area. Using the toilet and sink in the night disturbs others in the room.

Breakfast was phenomenal.

Staff could have been more flexible. I came 10 minutes late to the afternoon tea and they refused to serve. I know there are rules but as a frequent guest, I would have appreciated a little more flexibility.

Great location, close to shops, best market close by called the Youth Center market/Box Concept, very friendly staff, always played with the children. Great breakfast and afternoon tea. Swimming pool is small but big enough for a cool down dip. Rooms are spacious but a bit old and tired.

Right next to petrol station and construction site and big road, can be quite noisy. The suit room is great but the executive room was a bit disappointing, a bit old not sure it’s worth the money.

This hotel is small but provides service of much larger hotels. The pool and bar area are excellent, well laid out and serviced well by staff. They also serve an afternoon brunch which is superb and included in the price of the room. Breakfast was excellent but needed a few more western options. The rooms were small but very clean and well appointed.

We would have liked to dine at the hotel and were told by staff that the kitchen closed 8.30pm later when we went to look at the menu we were told the kitchen was now closing at 8pm as the chef had to leave early and there were no longer set menu options available which only left the ala carte menu available with limited options. We were also told that the set menu had to be order in advance eg morning time , but no one had mentioned this to us or was it listed on the menu when were asked earlier in the day.

We had a great time at the hotel. We especially appreciated the afternoon tea and snack buffet on the rooftop - it was a pleasant surprise how varied and generous the selection was. The breakfast was also good, but the breakfast area was quite small, making it very crowded, and the dishes were almost always empty... The rooftop pool was a nice spot to cool off and relax. The location of the hotel is fantastic: everything is within walking distance! Our flight home was very late in the evening, but we were still allowed to use the pool and shower facilities, and the reception kindly stored our luggage after our free late check-out at 1 pm.

We booked a room with a window, which wasn’t too noisy. However, I believe this largely depends on the side of the hotel and the floor your room is on. Our room had a connecting door to the neighboring room, and it was evident that we were given the "add-on" room rather than the master bedroom, as it was quite small. I would recommend introducing more differentiated pricing and room categories. Currently, the main distinguishing feature seems to be whether the rooms have windows or not, but they also appear to vary in size.

The rooftop pool area was really special, it was a great experience to arrive and have a drink looking at the view. The room itself was nice, not the biggest or the most modern, but comfortable and pretty tidy for the most part. Felt the location was perfect, it was good to be just on the edge of the main touristy area. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Similar to almost all properties we stayed at in Vietnam, I didn’t like being asked to review the hotel on the spot at checkout. When you have a flight to make, the last thing I want to do is follow a QR code link and write a review in front of staff.

Very easy to get there via taxi, right beside a petrol station so was easy to pick up grabs !! The hotel looked great, great AC / breakfast and afternoon tea available. The rooftop bar and pool were kept very well and looked like the images which was great. We booked a room with no window, it was ok and very clean, the shower was great.

We did book the rooms with no window but I wouldn’t book this type of room again. The rooms were on the smaller side for the price. Food and drinks were on the dearer side but not drastic

Location is good even if it is iut from dist 1, with 6-10 min walk you may reach most of the destinations in dist 1. Nice roof arrangements with pool, bar and lounge areas. Excellent breakfast. Rooms are OK, just a bit small, with luggages open space gets limited.

Hotel stands in a heavy traffic road (and Saigon traffic can be very heavy!!) thus some noisy should be expected.
