Beautiful setting, lovely friendly staff. Fab breakfast including wonderful views of kangaroos hopping through the grounds. The E Remo restaurant was very busy and we had a nice dinner.

The swimming pool area is too small. It was embarrassing having some guests on lay outs and others sitting behind on towels waiting for chairs to become available. Other guests just turned around and went back to their rooms. We also had to do this on several occasions! For the hotels’ five star rating and cost, it needs to look seriously at this issue. Our room, a King Deluxe was ok but bathroom was small. Our terrace furniture had stains and needed cleaning. This property could deliver at a much higher level but it needs more attention to detail which is sadly lacking.

We had such a lovely stay. The location was great and in proximity to other destinations and restaurants. eRemo was a delicious place to dine (their on site restaurant) and the breakfast was great too with plenty of options. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. The rooms were large and comfortable with a good bathroom and large shower. The pool was great but a little small for the amount of people around. Getting a daybed was hard at times. I would definitely stay here again.

- Waffle was a bit basic and maybe more options at the continental section. - Lack of communication around the half board dining options (needs to be clearer that you can order from the A La Carte menu - this only came to our attention upon questioning/complaint) - Not enough pool loungers.

The experience of Spicers guesthouse is delightful from the second you arrive at the property. The staff are outstanding in their attentiveness, attention to detail and personable approach. Nothing is too much trouble, be that the cleaners, gardeners or reception staff. The rooms are beautiful, clean and luxurious. The price is perfect, and for such a gorgeous place, the cost of food and wine are reasonable. We enjoyed every second of our stay here, and will definitely be back when we can. Thoroughly recommend to anyone.

The eRema restaurant was not what we expected. Our entrees and mains were uninspiring, including the $110 Sirloin. Dessert was the only dish we enjoyed, which we only ordered one to share due to our concern we would have more wasted food.

Pool area stunning both day and night the room was so luxurious and comfortable smelled beautifully everything just perfect restaurant for breakfast was beautifully surprised at the way breakfast was done buffet but u get to choose what you want chefakes it fresh for you staff absolutely friendly a big thank you to Luke for making my daughter and i feel so special when we arrived super friendly .

We loved the ambience of the lounge near the bar and the big open fire to settle in with a wine before dinner in the fabulous restaurant and the food was delicious… Our room was not very big but comfortable and the decor was very tasteful.

The night we stayed was heavy rain…we had to walk to the restaurant but was not under cover..we were drenched by the time we arrived…but, that was the only issue with our stay..

The rooms were perfectly laid out, with all the amenities you would need. The setting of the hotel with the beautiful views over the terrace to the Hunter valley, we spotted a couple of Wallaby’s as we were having a sundowner. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The food in your fine dining restaurant and breakfasts were delicious. A perfect spot to check out the local vineyards. Would definitely stay again.

Staff amazing, food delicious, cocktails sensational, accommodating an extra night when needed.

AMazing room but $590 for the first night was a bit steep, however taking into considerations its school holidays and Saturday would have played a part. No chromcast needed to have an android phone to watch movies, otherwise was just free to air which was not good on hungover lazy day.

Such a beautiful property with surrounding wildlife and gardens. The restaurant, living areas and buildings are so warm and inviting. The rooms smelt amazing and there was background music playing on arrival which created such a nice ambiance. The staff were so nice and friendly.

The rooms are a bit small and there isn’t much room for luggage but the many different living areas around the property makes up for this. It is a homestead so you are just given a room with ensuite.
