The stay was good staff was friendly and loved the room

Water was cold couldn't shower In sight parking entry was to short my car didn't fit which should be eqiped for all cars as I'm sure u have a lot of people who travel with 4×4

The view was amazing, it was located a short distance from shops, so very convenient. The food in the restaurant was good and the prices reasonable. Continental breakfasts were included in the price of the accommodation, but we only used it once.

There should be longer parking outside of the hotel. I know it was council parking, but it was inconvenient to always have to move the car every three hours. Unfortunately, the car we hired would not fit in the hotel underground parking as it only allows for vehicles less that 2 meters. Also did not like the long wait for check in. We arrived off the boat at around 11.00am and had to wait until after 2.30pm to check in.

Had a one-bedroom apartment on the 23rd, good views over the town to the water, and lovely fresh breeze from the balcony. Room wasn't serviced but could have been had I wanted, and anything that was needed was available. Front counter staff excellent and very helpful. Kitchenette inc microwave, small dishwasher very convenient, and full size fridge a bonus for self catering. Bathroom quite compact as there is a washer / dryer, might be more difficult to navigate for any mobility impaired. Pretty good location - not on the waterfront so not as many restaurants on the doorstep but is only a couple of short blocks to the town centre. Continental breakfast included was more than enough and ate several times in the restaurant at night, was fairly reasonably priced and good food.

Elevators a bit slow! But then again who is in a rush on a holiday.

Check in was a breeze and the friendly front desk staff gave me a beautiful room on a high floor with a fantastic view! The location was great - close to plenty of restaurants and local tourist activities. Every morning, the plentiful, complimentary continental breakfast buffet, with lots of fresh fruit and juices coffee, tea, a delicious assortment of pastries, hard boiled eggs, toast, jams and jellies, cereal etc. were available. The hotel is very clean and everything in my room worked properly. I highly recommend Oaks Darwin to anyone staying there.

Everything was great!

The OAKS Hotel is very conveniently located in the Darwin CBD and walking distance to eateries, tour start points, the Waterfront and the Tourist Information Centre. The room's air conditioning and ceiling fans provided pleasant comfort from the outside heat and the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom layout was easy to use. The views and other facilities like gym, swimming pool etc. added to the enjoyment of our stay.

Not sure how this problem can be overcome but when trying to get a restful sleep and a late start to the day, the room doors are very loud when being shut and loud enough to disrupt sleep.

We were in an apartment/studio on the 25th floor so the view was magnificent. The room was well appointed and exceptionally clean. A hand held shower and a rain shower were a bonus with plenty of storage in the bathroom and kitchen. Bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We were very happy. The location was perfect being within walking distance of central Darwin.

The restaurant was limited in it's menu which was unfortunate but I suppose a set menu which changes occasionally is a good thing.

Very spacious and comfortable room. The balcony was nice to have and the view (being on the 23rd floor) was impressive. Everything was nice and clean and the desk was big enough to work on. The location of the hotel is good. Easy to get to by car and within walking distance of most things in the city but without being in amongst the noise. I also had a late flight out of Darwin and the staff was very accommodating, allowing for luggage storage (which I had to access multiple times) and continued use of the pool and facilities until my departure.

The pool area is a little underwhelming (little afternoon sun) and a bit plain. The lifts don't have A/C but instead have a fan blowing in your face and the wait for the lift can be a bit longer sometimes. There is multi story car parking but a lot of parks are reserved. So it sometimes takes driving across many levels to find a spot.

I liked the breakfast that was included. There was a good range and the food was plenty for the day. I liked having washing facilities in our room. The fridge size was good. I found the shower to be fantastic except for the drainage. The floor had a bit of a dip so water ended up on the floor outside the shower. I appreciated the bottle of cold water when I arrived as it was very warm. It’s easy to walk into the city and to the wharf area so we didn’t need a car which was useful.

Some thicker towels would be good

Liked that everyday they gave several dishwashing detergent and dishwasher supplies and several washing powder sachets for the washing machine. Cleaned the room everyday and replaced towels etc. Good location. Good unit configuration with everything you need. Parking available but sometimes a search through several parking floors to find a bay.

Could maybe have a few more “hotel guest parking spots” although we did always find a parking area. Also street parking out the front that has a parking meter but the parking meter was not in use.

I loved our high level corner 1 bedroom apartment with expansive harbour views and lots of natural light. The apartment was spacious with a large size balcony containing a table and three chairs. The inside lounge area had a coffee table and a lounge suite, with a big wall mounted TV plus a good size desk to work on and charge devices, and a round dining table with three chairs. The kitchenette had a full size fridge, microwave, mini standalone oven, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, and was fully self contained with saucepans, frying pans, bowls, crockery, glassware and cutlery. The bed and pillows were very comfortable with the bedroom at the back of the apartment. The bathroom was on the small side, however very practical with a full size washing machine and clothes dryer. The location was fabulous. Not far to Zen Rooftop Bar, cafes, bars, restaurants, Coles, bottle shops, post office, banks, the Stokes Hill Wharf, convention centre precinct and Darwin's WWII Oil Storage Tunnels were a 10-15 minute walk away. A continental breakfast (which included hard boiled eggs, baked beans and potato gems) was also included in our accommodation price. It was $10 per person to upgrade to a hot breakfast.

Booking.com said Oakes Elan provided car parking. Yes, they do, at $15 per day. FYI street parking is free on weekends and on public holidays in Darwin. There are ample car spots outside the hotel foyer and on nearby streets. Otherwise, it's payable by parking meters situated everywhere.
