Room Location excellent on the south eastern corner (room 406). View was mostly a large blank building wall, but some view to the east over the city and about a 50 deg view over the harbour which was fine... the best thing though is that the balcony was in full shade for most of the day so we weren't barbecued when sitting out there. We'll be asking for that room or one like it, again. The location of course is a cracker.

Kitchen utensils very basic - looked like a grab from an op shop... eg the large frying pan was way too large for the stove top; the spatula was metal for a non-stick pan only one large knife - and blunt. Again, as we have commented before, for longer stays having a small broom and dustpan/brush is essential for keeping the kitchen and carpeted eating areas clean during a 4 day stay. Along with tea, sugar etc how about a few salt/pepper sachets as well.

Staff accommodated our request to be on a high floor. Ended up with the top floor and a water view even though we booked a city view. We really appreciate that and enjoyed waking up to the water every morning. Clean and fresh upon first entry. Early check in at 11am was very convient as we arrived 1am that morning

The shampoo, conditioner and bodywash were very watery. I suspect because being right under the pooling of water from the shower. Two keys instead of the one for everything - outside doors, elevator and then another for room was a tad annoying but that's super minor. Lastly that it was lamp lit at night time and that there wasn't an overhead light illuminating the entire room. Everyone was very friendly both staff and guests staying in the hotel.

Were able to leave our luggage in hotel until our room was ready and were able to do the same on leaving as our next destination was after check out time. It was great having a bed each as I was traveling with my sister and we prefer not to share a bed. It seems most hotels in Australia assume all travelers want to share a bed which surely cannot be the case. Fellow guests seemed really friendly and relaxed when there was a 'Emergency' and we had to evacuate - luckily it was a false call, but we were glad we were on the first floor!

The luggage locker could be more secure, but assume this will improve once the building works complete. Perhaps a bit more assurance from staff when the false Emergency happened would have been appropriate. Indeed seemed to us that the single receptionist was overworked, though she was always friendly and helpful.

We were very happy with the accommodation. Very comfortable, had everything we needed and was very clean. The hotel was ideally located in Darwin city; within walking distance of various tourist sites, food places/takeaway/ restaurants. We had a family room with 2 bedrooms, lounge area and a kitchen and laundry. Great facilities and beautiful view from the balcony out to the harbour and the park across the road. Swimming pool was great to have on site and use every day. It was also not overly expensive.

The fire alarm going off before 6am because a guest had burnt their toast!

Very comfortable one bedroom apartment with balcony and harbour view. Good swimming pool. There was a washing machine. Liked that it was not serviced as I could spread out for the three days without having to worry about someone coming into the room. If I had needed more towels etc I could have asked. Wonderful that there was Caroline Nail and Beauty salon just downstairs so that I could get a much needed pedicure and massage without having to go far. Comfortable bed and pillows

Wished for a porter for my luggage and room service food. However it was very close to Mitchell St restaurants.

Food service close Entrance to pool blocked off due to reno and had to walk out the front of hotel and around A lot of mould around the outside door and balconies of most rooms, that appeared to have not been clean for sometime. Should be able to smoke on balcony

We needed somewhere close to the Darwin Memorial so we could attend the Dawn Service It was ideal location. The staff member who served us on arrival was lacking in customer service, but the guy who served us on leaving was excellent.

Staff on arrival not very friendly. The bathroom needs upgrading. It's very difficult to get in and out of bathtubs. Who has them these days.

Room was very spacious; good kitchen; bed excellent; shower great; loved the view over the city - especially being close to the nightlife below; excellent location - very central; friendly, helpful staff; liked having no service during our stay - could just live there without disturbance.

Given no service for our stay, we suggest having at least a broom, dustpan etc to keep the floors properly clean - 5 days of full cooking etc is not mess free; there was no table and chairs in the room - the breakfast bar was fine, but given the cost, a small dining/work table would have been expected - and more convivial. Some of the the tiles in the bathroom have water leaking under them from somewhere - treading on the tiles squeezes it up between them - needs attention.

Being situated on the Esplanade and a hop, skip and a jump from Mitchell Street, the main street in the CBD; ensured spectacular views over the Darwin Harbour and close proximity to an assortment of restaurants, cafes, shops, transport and foreshore precinct. The Esplanade Park directly across the road provided the perfect opportunity to enjoy the magnificent views at closer range. Another positive was the staff who were very welcoming and accommodating.

During my time in Darwin I stayed at the Mantra on Esplanade twice due to my desire to have better access to the central area of Darwin. On both occasions I was very satisfied with my room and the service. As can be seen by the ratings I have provided in all categories, 'I liked everything about my stay'. In other words, there was nothing not to like.

We loved the location, the 3 bedroom apartment that we stayed in the rooms were great size, space sqm was brilliant, large balcony great to hang out, great ocean views. Our apartment got serviced on a day we requested they topped up all supplies, made our beds, great cleaning service. Staff very friendly and approachable.

Pool was always too cold, No restaurant or bar in the complex, my bed was very uncomfortable 1 week of not sleeping very well i was not happy, my apartment was missing a broom and a vacuum to clean the carpet as my 2 teenagers are very messy dropping food where they ate.
