The hotel is clean, spacious, and well-located—though it’s a bit far from South Bank, it’s conveniently close to the Story Bridge. Breakfast is served à la carte, and while it was included for the two rooms we booked (each accommodating 2 adults and 1 child), we were informed at the table that breakfast was not included for the children (both under 12). This was a bit disappointing given the room rates. Overall, it’s a fairly good choice, but you can find better value for your money at other hotels in the same area.

The location was perfect and walkable distance to everything that week needed during our stay. The staff were friendly and also allowed for a very flexible last minute early check-in.

The only thing that could have improved the stay was the tap in the shower appeared to not be working, there were two shower heads but you could only use one and the nossel to change this appeared loose. Also, it is important to note that there is very minimal privacy on the toilet! Transparent doors to the bathroom and the toilet is right next to it so I would suggest only staying with someone who you are very close with!

Excellent breakfast with outstanding coffee in the Bisou Bisou restaurant downstairs: Maître D' was a lovely fun French women who added to the breakfast experience. Swimming pool was very refreshing and clean with comfortable loungers. Relaxing lighting options in the room. Very comfortable bed. Great location to James St and shopping/cafes/restaurants. Whispering aircon and double-glazed windows means we had a couple of very quite night of sleep.

Was very challenging and cumbersome to use the television/chrome/casting technology supplied to get TV entertainment functioning (20 minutes). TV didn't allow for personal HDMI input so couldn't use my laptop and the TV together for work or entertainment. Toilet in the room lacks privacy with semi-transparent door, no sound proofing, gaps in the door - quite a design flaw. Parking was a struggle with a traffic jam at the hotel entrance and round-the-block circuit to get back into the carpark after check-in.

Always stay at Hotel X when in town for work. Excellent staff, rooms and rooftop, highly recommend. Value for money also in a great location.

The only comment I would make is - when hosting private events, don’t let it happen to the detriment of the guests staying at the hotel. Guests around the pool were told no service or food or beverages from 4pm because of private event that evening. It was a packed pool and a 30+ degree day. A shortsighted and disappointing decision. The private party will not be reviewing the hotel but the guests will, something to consider in future.

Location was brilliant close to everything you could want, lovely room, great rooftop pool

The pillows were not comfortable and all the same. The roof top bar/restaurant Iris was terrible. Prawns weren’t washed 🤮 very disappointed. It was meant to be rapid but every dish had chorizo in it making it taste the same.

Room was lovely had a luxurious bathroom, with amazing views. Great mini bar and room service from the 24hr French restaurant downstairs was exceptional after a long day of travelling. Staff were friendly and the room cleaning service that you order from the tablet was efficient and super fast each day.

For a luxurious experience we would have preferred doona covers on the bed instead of the triple sheeting esp when paying $1000+ night for the top suite as after our 3 night stay the sheets felt dirty and limp and not fluffy. Also some apps on the tv would have been good.

The hotel is located quite central in Fortitude Valley. Around 70$ from Brisbane Airport. You can take the “Kittycat” boat for free to go to different places. It takes about 8 minutes walk from the hotel to reach the wharf. There are plenty of fancy restaurants nearby the river which have great view of the bridge. The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. The minibar was a great inspiration to try new things. We had 2 suite rooms to fit 4 adults with 2 children. Both rooms were different but they have balcony with great view and a living room with kitchenette. It’s much more spacey than usual hotel rooms that I’ve been.

We have to pay $40 per night for parking. And it was full when we were there and we have to take the valet service which makes the parking costs $60. That’s quite pricey!

We actually loved everything about this trip. We were disappointed because we had booked to stay two nights but our flight was cancelled when we arrived at Sydney late afternoon so we had to stay a night in Sydney and we hadn't given enough time for cancellation. Anyway, we managed to stay one night at Hotel X and it didn't disappoint. Facilities lovely, room amazing, bed fantastic, French and Roof top restaurants were wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Nice room, good pool area (although lacking atmosphere), great location

No atmosphere by pool, no water to drink there when restaurant is closed Booked 2-3 months out to get a good price only to discover the day before was 25-30% cheaper for same room. When I brought this up there was nothing she could do apparently. We are platinum elite IHG members but only got a 12pm check out and an "upgrade" to same room but a floor higher up. But we did get a bottle of Prosecco as we were celebrating a birthday so that's nice! The bodylotion in bathroom was empty. Had just been staying at Calile for two nights and wanted to try something else out but would probably pay the higher price to get exceptional service and cool atmosphere there then coming back here.

Rooftop bar and pool was beautiful. Parking was easy. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Cool features in the room like auto shutter blinds and easy to use main switch lights. Mini bar and alcohol choice galore inside the room lol. Bathroom was really nice.

Rooftop bar service was non existent after they said hello. Drinks were really good but we chose to not stay to eat even with a reservation - we headed out. Overall layout was slightly confusing but a cool place
