Older style but very clean and comfortable with good instructions for late night entry. Close proximity to the Cairns Esplanade and some lovely coffee shops for breakfast. Arrived after midnight on a late flight - this hotel is one of the closest to the airport - only $19 for taxi. Hotel cost just over $100, a real bargain, given an unexpected overnight stop thanks to Jetstar changes to an international flight.

Carrying luggage up stairs (only one flight) might be problematic for some people.

The size of our accommodation/ room. The price and how wasy it was to just unpack and enjoy. The staff was super friendly. Location is close to convenience stores and essentials. Our room/ apartment was plenty big enough for 3 adults and 1 teen to have enough space and enjoy ourselves. The pool is beautiful. The air-conditioning was great and welcoming

Some of the dishes in the kitchen were unclean/ dirty. Which is why i mention it as it is listed as something the visitors need to do before checking out, clean up after themselves. Apart from that, it was a great place... The weatherwas so blah, hot and sticky but obviously Palms hasnt got anything to do with that

The room was a good size - with a double and two single beds, and being an older property, it had quite a big kitchen area, including a good-size fridge. The balcony faced a nice park area, and was quite (we couldn't hear street noise). There was a nice pool and BBQ area that we didn't use - but it was attractive. The shuttle service to the airport at 8:00 am was very convenient.

There were a few minor maintenance issues (such as lights not working) that we discussed with the manager, and they were addressed - nothing too major. It's not located right in the centre of Cairns, so it's a bit of a walk (around 2.7 km each way) - but it's quite close to the waterfront esplanade, so the walk was scenic.

Overall a great little motel. Location amazing. Steps from the seaside and bus stops. Bus or walk to Tabuk swimming pool and huge Botanic Gardens. Soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in bathroom. Drying board, iron and board along with brush and pan provided. Plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. More than sufficient cooling fans and ac.. Nice size balcony.

No pots or pans, I would have been happy to even hire these for my stay. Could use some plastic items ie spatula, measuring jug, microwave tubs. No printoff in rooms to advise were bus stops, swimming pool, shops and beech are all located. Could also do with directions to laundry and bins. Arrangement of furniture. Seats, dining table and TV on same wall.

the property was amazing , and such good value for money ! we absolutely loved our stay and would 100% recommend this place to our friends and family !! we were so close to the beach , about a 2 min walk ! we had a kitchen we could cook in which was a surprise to us ⭐️⭐️ the owners are so friendly and helpful and are really lovely to talk too and ask for advice ! there is a pool and bbq in the back to use which is also a lovely touch as well as laundry facilities that we used and were so grateful for .. thank you guys for being so helpful and making our stay so special .. we will be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

the bedrooms were big

Not claiming the money at the correct time and on a business day. this caused untold stress as I was at the airport on a Saturday when told the card was declined but my bank said it was pending and would go through next business day. I had to make very urgent arrangements to pay on the phone or my reservation would be cancelled by 5pm. We were not arriving from Perth until 8pm. I think this was shambles and not a great start to my holiday. The bank took 4 days to release the funds as they said Reef Palms may still call for it.

The room size was quite large. The beds were comfy. The bottom floor is best with luggage. They put key in lockbox for us as we arrived at a ridiculous time. They were very helpful. It is only 1 block off the esplanade but quite a long walk to the shopping area. Would definitely stay again.

The first time we stayed was on the 2nd floor which was a mission with heavy bags up stairs. Definitely ask for ground floor if you have heavy bags.

The staff are so lovely !, Needed a few extra things for our stay and were so accommodating, we were able to access a port a cot for our 7month old with no extra fee due to having our rooms changed around just before arrival. We were never inconvenience

The pool chairs were rusted and broken, probably needed a few upgrades

Room was fantastic - Every possible appliance present. Lovely big balcony with great view over harbour & marina. Infinity swimming pool & jacuzzi was an added bonus. Secure underground parking & lovely receptionist - nothing was too much trouble for.her - Thankyou.

Wi-fi was diabolical. In this day and age wi-fi should work everywhere. We were told that the the walls stopped it working!! I think they should invest in wi-fi boosters! i have them at home and only cost around £30 each.

The proximity to the city - far enough to ensure a substantial walk, without it being too far. It was also close enough to the Botanical Gardens, which are beautiful to wall through and around. The staff were great, as we'd flown on an overnight trip and although we weren't able to check in early, they made space available for us and did actually give us the room earlier than planned.
