Didn’t know what the weather was going to be maybe they should use BOM we knew the weather was going to be good a week before we got there check in a disaster No organisation Waiting 1 and a half hours to check in. older people queuing with walking frame. No offer of water . terrible

The pool area is great. It’s a big pool, there are a lot of deck chairs, and two sizeable spas. A big tv plays music. The room was nice, beds comfortable, and room service was good. Staff came to ask if you want the mini bar topped up each morning, which is helpful. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Had view of the pool from the room, and just outside the room door you can see down into the casino entrance, cafe, lobby area etc, which is good as you can see what’s going on/ how busy the place is. Harvest buffet was great!

Rooms aren’t well sound proofed, so you can hear people on each side. TV chrome casting was very hit and miss (mostly miss) so I wished I brought my laptop. I know it was school holidays and I had teenagers with me, but the pool (and especially the spa) was overrun by toddlers/small children, which wasn’t ideal. An adult’s only area wouldn’t go astray. The hotel itself isn’t too far from Broadbeach, but the hotel is so big that it feels cut off from the nearby streets

It was extremely difficult to find our way to the car park from inside the venue. Not enough signs. There were also no maps to tell you which elevator to use to get to the car park and could not find how to walk between car park levels.

The location was great…central to all the places we wanted to go so we could walk or have a short Uber and tram stop right out of the front. all the restaurants in the building were very nice and convenient. The room was spacious and modern and the staff were very friendly.

The bed and pillows were abit soft for my liking. The pool area was busy and crowded 100% of the time so we didn’t swim in the pool and the house keeping was abit inconvenient time wise…they would service the room between 3 - 6pm when we would be getting ready for dinner.

Location! Shaded walkway to the Entertinment centre is the bighest selling point for me. So nive when you are with kids and going here and back all day for few days. We trtaveled for an event. Will definately stay again!!! Pool was a delight for kids. Plenty of rest areas and movie for adult who can not jump in a pool all day, but stay arround to watch kids. Parking and taxis at the front door are nice. Gorgeous design! (I'm an architect/urban designer). Well maintained and clean Loved 21st floor gate away - handy to get time for yourself when traveling wiht family. Automatic curtains and shades in a room are a nice touch. Not many hotels do. Kids said they feeled like they are superreach :)

The only things that were not perfect Way too high pillows. We all had sore necks in the morning. But it's a common issue when traveling. Food choices at the star were less than we expected. But we came from Sydney. We might be spoiled. Still, my kid got some kind of allergic reaction and vomited 10min after trying a single dimsim and bobba tea. This never happened before. But she recovered. We were eating ourside the Star afterwhat not wanting to risk it. Everyone else in a family was fine. Also expected an airport transfer from the Star. But maybe I'm asking too much Views were not really impressive. But OK But overall we had a wonderfull stay. Will definately stay again

Overall our stay at the Star was enjoyable. The room was cosy with all the basic features you would expect from any hotel room. The bathroom was well appointed, clean and with ample supplies. Would definitely recommend visiting Cucina Vivo for dinner. Lovely food and the staff are so accommodating and friendly.

Both my husband and myself are tall so the bed was a little short for us and quite soft. We think the TV may have been possessed as it would change channels unexpectantly and the sound would disappear! I was a little disappointed with the overall state of the room. Given the room rate per night, the Star could consider giving their rooms a refresh.

all the entertainment on side is adults appropriate, for kids there’s only the pool area which I’d say is not as big to accommodate comfortably. Big pain was that we were not able to open windows, not enough ear in the room. when you decrease temperature on thermostat it blows you off with cold but not adding actual ear to the room. as I strangle from high fever/dust mites allergies it was a bit unpleasant to spend a lot of time in the room. House keeping was by request, which didn’t end up happening. We did press a service button on 2 times when were leaving room for about 5 hours both times but they showed up twice when we were in the room with “do not disturb” sign.

Location was great! So close to everything. I loved being able to walk to the shops daily! And so close to the night life was a good location. The Garden Bar was amazing and the staff at that bar were very helpful and nice. Room service food was delicious but the wait time was a little too long. Over 45mins.

The service at the MC breakfast cafe was terrible and slow. The staff were not apologetic for the wait and we waited over 45mins for our food. The security to the casino were rude also. We were first timers staying here and excited so it was a shame we had to experience this.

Such comfy beds and lots of pillows to choose from. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We had a lovely stay the pool and amenities were great. The curtains were great and allowed the room to be nice and dark. Lifts were great barely ever had to wait for them.

1) check in was very slow it took a good 10 mins per person to check them in. 2) for a family of 3 there was really only one towel space to properly hang a towel so we needed to ask for new towels as our towels didn't dry due to lack of space to hang them. We had our service button on all day but had to ring reception as the room didn't get serviced. 3) exiting the car park at checkout time was a complete nightmare it took 35 mins to exit the car park Would love some QR codes by the pool area to be able to order food and drink

The room was comfy. Location was perfect . The beaches and the shops were in close proximity. We could walk to Pacific fair and the beach. The leisure deck is really good to swim in the pool or read a book, if you don’t want to step outdoors.

Only thing lacking was a good view from the room of the garden or pool or the waterways. The view from the large window was across the other rooms and hence we kept the blinds down at all times. All restaurants within Star close by 9 Pm . However, the food court at the Casino serves food after 9 PM.
