We had a lovely private apartment with everything you need. Walking distance to the hustle & bustle of the main street but also lovely and quiet for some downtime. Facilities were clean!!! The kitchenette was stocked with utensils & cookwear. We were provided with plenty of laundry powder & dishwashing tablets. Bed was very comfortable. Air-conditioning worked great. Can't wait to come back and stay again. Will recommend staying at Garrrick House!

Garrick House is in a great location. Really close to 4 Mile beach and a very short walk to all the shops and restaurants on Macrossan Street. The apartment had everything we needed and was clean and spacious. Andrew was a great host and we followed his recommendation for a Reef tour and we had the best day ever! Also the pool was lovely. All spotlessly clean.

We would have preferred a harder bed but that’s just our taste.

We loved our apartment. I was fresh modern and clean apart from a slight bit of mold stuck up under the shelf in the shower (it is a humid place). It was great having a bedroom for us and one for the kids. We enjoyed the balcony out the front as well and we all enjoyed the pool which was clean and lovely and warm with facilities if you wanted to cook outdoors. It was only a short walk the main street, beach, walking trail, and the bars/restaurants. The free onsite parking was also an added bonus for us with a hire car. We also loved the addition of book shelf you could help yourself too during our stay (our kids love reading books). The staff were very helpful with good attractions and places to eat, along with some hot local tips you wouldn't otherwise know, and they always greeted us when they saw us during our stay. The washing machine and clothes dryer were also helpful for doing a load of washing part way through our stay, particularly with the kids.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. We could've done with an extra couch/arm chair in our room but we weren't in there overly much during the day, just in the evenings.

Stayed over the Christmas period and it was such a lovely experience. Apartment was spacious and clean, located a short walk from shops and restaurants and an even shorter walk to the beach. Very relaxing pool. Kitchen was equipoise with everything you’d need should you want to stay in and cook. No complaints whatsoever.

Plumbing in the bathrooms/ WC Toilet had to be repeatedly flushed to remove waste. Taps definitely were not working well, both sinks. Frying pans were in need of binning, impossible to work with, remember the cook top is glass so pans were also sliding around. All that is required is a visit from a Plummer, and some serious thought about replacement of some kitchen equipment.

Perfect spot to explore Port Douglas and beyond. Exceptionally comfortable, well appointed with a full size kitchen, plus jumping in the pool after a long day was perfect. Loved the location, quiet but a very easy walk into town or to Four Mile Beach, especially compared to being in one of the resorts. Free parking on site and lots of info about things to see and do in the area. Would recommend and definitely stay again!

Olivia and Al were great, it’s a lovely family run business. Kept so well, Al was always cleaning and gardening the lovely surrounds. communal areas were spotless, the apartments had all the mod cons and were spotless and modern. I had to call/ email in advance of our stay and Olivia was quick to respond and super helpful. Really lovely feel. Great location too, short walk to the beach and into town.

Great location, close to everything and still really quiet, minimal traffic on the street. Staff were great, very helpful with all queries including booking tours etc.

Apartment we stayed in is a bit dated, needs a few repairs. Floor tiles broken and move when you walk on them with chunks of grout coming out. Shower leaked, the washing machine is rusty and didn’t stop automatically when the selected cycle finished.

Walking distance to Macrossan Street, Four Mile Beach and Rex Smeal Park. ・The building is a little old, but it was kept clean and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen and dishes. ・The pool is heated, so even on a chilly day, it was nice to swim. ・The owners were very kind and nice.

Garrick House is in a fantastic location right between the main strip and the beach. Literally a 2 minute walk. The hotel is in a beautiful building surrounded by lush gardens and very well maintained by the owners. We stayed in a ground floor 2 bed apartment that was very comfortable especially with prams and kids, and very spacious. Lovely heated pool and BBQ facilities that were very clean. Also great wifi connection.

The pool was a bit small compared to other properties but still really nice! Kids loved it!
