Pools are excellent. Very nice garden environment with a range of seating types. Privacy due to the design of the units. Spacious bedroom and lounge. Good fridge space and laundry facilities. Had to pay for laundry but apparently cheaper than the laundromat. The staff were always extremely helpful and quick to meet requests.

Unit was superficially clean but needs a good clean occasionally e.g. fan blades, skirting boards, toilet walls. Chair and day bed coverings in our unit were worn, and lounge chairs old and not very comfortable. The day bed was great though.

An older style of resort, but lovely because of established gardens and the layout of the rooms. Two pools, one in the main area and one in a second back part of the establishment. This one was quieter and nicer for a swim. The room was large and a small balcony meant you could have breakfast outside which was excellent. Everything you needed for a good stay here. The location was excellent too.

The pool at the front was quite hard to get into. No ladder. And maybe a bit deep for children. The laundry was a bit tired but then, I didn't use it since I didn't have coins for the machines. Not many people use coins now. Otherwise, nothing to complain about!

Perfect location within walking distance between all of the local spots and beach. Easy free parking, lovely pool areas. Tranquil setting. Clean and comfortable

Top flight rooms aren't easy to carry heavy cases to the top. Only 2 coffee pods for 3 nights between 3 adults felt a little stingy - maybe because it was a public holiday weekend the cleaners didn't refresh or pop in to tidy over the place

Loved that there was two pools to choose from. The smaller one was warmer which was good. Loved having lots of option to sit beside the pool and enjoy the location. Easy walk into town and beach. Rooms had lots of space and loved that we were able to get joining rooms which made it easy.

Blockout blinds would have been good as there was a lot of light coming in at night and early morning.

Great Balinese vibe. Nice pools. Beds were comfy. Appreciated the chromecast on the TV. Walking distance to everything

Could do with some basics such as some oil for the BBQ, conditioner and hair-dryer in the bathrooms and a tissue box. . Some inconsiderate guests bring speakers to the pool. This could be better communicated that it is not OK.

The location is terrific - easy walking distance to all attractions in Port Douglas. The Bali feel is also good.

The studio apartment I was booked into initially was the most poorly designed accommodation I had ever experienced.. However, the staff at Hibiscus Resort found me a 1 bedroom apartment for no additional cost apart from a cleaning fee.

No free towel exchange Reception not open at good hours , couldn’t get a towel on days we went out , from 8-4 No basics in room like salt , pepper, coffee and only 3 tea bags for a 5 day stay for two people.

The location and the size of the rooms were great, the pools and the resort itself were gorgeous. Facilities were great for a self-contained stay if that is one's preference.

The bed was quite hard and uncomfortable to sleep on - even my 8 year old found it uncomfortable. The room was dusty in places eg behind bedside tables (when finding phone charger) and on the slats of the sliding inter-room doors - a bit of an annoyance for those with allergies! The addition of safe would be useful too, but not a major issue.

Hibiscus is a very attractive Balinese styled property with great landscaping and a lovely pool. Our two bedroom apartment was large and had all the equipment we would have wished for. It was very close to the town centre, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only problem we experienced was due to the cyclone as the water was cut off one day - but we were so glad to be in that beautiful place, that was a minor consideration.

The pools were great. The garden surroundings were lovely and well maintained. Really nice ambience at night. Great location being close to Port Douglas center.

The bathroom seemed to have a slight leak. We couldn't get the hot plate in the kitchen to work. Also the streaming app on the TV was annoying, it would drop out.
