We had room on 3rd floor on the end closest to the sea. Rooms are always amazing and very comfortable.

When we arrived we had a great view out to sea and across the harbour. We went out for a few hours only to return to discover a huge cruise ship had arrived and blocked our view out to sea and we had to close the corner timber shutters and keep the curtains drawn because we could see straight into the ship and we were guessing they could see straight into our room. Very disappointed.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, offering a unique and unforgettable experience. The location is perfect, situated right by the Hobart docks and within walking distance of everything the city has to offer. The design is exceptional, blending local history into the décor, with each room showcasing a character who influenced Tasmania in some way. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and featured a lovely balcony overlooking the waterfront. The Appelles bathroom products were a fantastic touch! The hotel offers five complimentary experiences, led by their knowledgeable staff. We joined the ‘114 Doors’ and ‘Hidden Hobart’ tours—both were brilliant. If we had more time, we’d have loved to do them all. The hotel’s storytelling extends to its building, surroundings, and even the funky collection of fossils displayed in one of the bars, adding an extra layer of charm. Breakfast was superb, with a fantastic range of buffet and à la carte options. Dinner at their restaurant was also excellent, with thoughtful vegetarian choices—thank you for that! Parking was convenient and efficient, with valet service taking care of everything seamlessly. In summary, it's a stunning hotel with impeccable design, outstanding service, and a perfect location. Highly recommended for a unique and luxurious stay in Hobart!

The service at dinner was occasionally a bit confused. The best tables by the window were allegedly reserved, but no one sat there the entire evening.

We liked the generous room size. The food service and quality were excellent and the staff in the Wharf Restaurant for breakfast and evening meals were very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary "114 doors" tour, city walk and IXL factory tour were a great insight into the history of Hobart and the hotel is to be commended for sponsoring such interesting activities.

We would have liked brighter lighting in the bathroom/dressing area and although very generous in size, the shower & toilet lack a little privacy. We stayed in a Hunter Street room so this may not be an issue in other room types.

Great view of the marina if you have a waterfront room. Exceptionally well designed bathrooms in two of the three rooms we stayed in.

We stayed for three nights during our trip to Tasmania so had three different rooms. The second room we had was a bit odd and don’t seem to be in regular use. It had a number of defects. For example, it was not possible to turn any of the room lights off from the bed. Nor were there any bedside lamps. A member of staff came to check this and agreed that there was a problem with the room light switching and that the lack of bedside lights was odd. He later brought us a couple of bedside lights which was kind of him - but obviously this is not the sort of thing you usually have to ask for in a hotel of this standard! It was also particularly annoying because we obviously didn’t notice this problem until we got into bed

+ The decor in the lobby and in the room is tasteful and modern without feeling stuffy or formal. + Receptionists - again, friendly and professional without being stuffy. We were able to access our room early. + Has the widest corridors we've ever seen! + The Superior Hunter Room was very spacious and very beautiful. + The toiletries are lovely. + Able to open the balcony sliding door.

- The view from the room was of the lane and carpark not far below (see photo). - The bathroom area does not have a door so there is no privacy when showering or changing (see photos). Being very picky here but these are quite easy to fix: - The blackout curtains are effective but light is let in at the top as there is no pelmet. - The teacups are very small - mugs would be appreciated.

Loved the moderness of our room and the facilities/amentities it had. Large bed is always good and loved the storage for suitcases and hanging clothes catering for travellers etc... probably the best I have stayed in for that purpose alone. Staff were always friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast was also lovely and enjoyed the options.

Needed lights to be brighter in the bathroom for many reasons. Understand the mood lighting but for everyday functionality, would be better to have dimmers if required. For a quality property which we really loved, would have been good for better quality toilet paper and maybe an outdoor setting on the balcony to escape too.

We didn’t have breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay.:)

There was nothing we didn’t like we had a good experience all round.

Everything was perfect from the service to the dining experience. Our flight was cancelled from Melbourne due to the worldwide IT outage, so unfortunately we missed our 1st nights accommodation, however the staff managed it with professionalism and we were happy with the outcome. Lovely accommodation facing the water, unbelievable huge room with great interior and all the extras like bar fridge well priced and comfortable robes. Dining/Bar options were great and dinner in the Old Wharf restaurant was delicious. Also in a fabulous location close to CBD and wharf. I would recommend this Hotel.

The room, view and location was beautiful. A wonderful spot to relax and to explore the city from. The staff were all very friendly. It felt very private and peaceful throughout. Breakfast was delicious!

While breakfast was delicious unfortunately the coffee and milk were burnt and not nice. The recommended in house taxi driver was a bit rude and forceful in his unprompted complaints about the industry and Uber on our airport ride, in addition to lecturing us about sunscreen due to our fair skin (while covered up in the middle of winter). It was uncomfortable.
