We stayed in a Premium Queen Room. They had just been refurbished - spacious, comfortable, well set out, modern. You can sit outside on the balcony overlooking the river mouth and the sea, watching the surfers. The staff on the Front Desk were fantastic, approachable and very helpful.

This was the perfect holiday for us. From the moment we arrived we felt a wonderful and friendly attitude from staff. The rooms were freshly renovated and lovely and clean. The view is just amazing. First night there was a fantastic band, these are happening regularly each month. The food was absolutely delicious. Drinks served by friendly and superfast bar staff. The grounds were kept beautiful. On a whole, this was the holiday our family needed. It was sensational. From relaxing in the pool to short adventure day drives, this is an excellent place to have it all. We will definitely be visiting again.

Receptionist (I dont know the name) - recognised my sons birthday, which was not expected, but was felt really awesome when she asked for birthday boy on first glance... my son was overwhelmed with joys that how they know its my birthday. Very smiling and welcoming. Secondly, the small gift the resort prepared for my son in the room (although the wrong room but receptionist was well aware to inform me to enter the room which had present) made my sons day. He still can't get over it and was telling everyone that we went to Scamander Resort and they gave me this present. Commendable job. I will give 10/10 for this to the resort. And definitely coming back to the resort.

The only thing is that when you know there is nothing around in the area, the resort should offer small amenities and may be on request like dental kits or sleepers. I asked for dental kits but had to go to the nearest IGA to buy them. Take it as a suggestion. Secondly, lighting was less in the room. No inroom dining. When you know there is nothing in the area after 05.30 pm.

Beautiful location and reasonably priced. Restaurant was good and good quality. Easy to find and super flexible staff for dinner reservations. Attentive staff too. Kids were entertained with the pool and park. They even put on a Easter egg hunt and music for Easter Sunday Close to the beach and could hear the waves breaking. Old but clean. Staff were super helpful. Linen was clean and new. Has a lot of potential to be better.

Internet reception was terrible and wifi wasn't great. The whole place could do with an upgrade with finishes. Room was right above Pub so a lot of noise later in the night from patrons. Could do with a smoking ban on balconies as ciggarette smoke was coming in to our room from neighbours. We wanted to have the door open as the room was hot and needed air circulation but smoke was coming in. The fan provided was cheap and ineffective. Bar wouldn't put on Jack Jumpers game because it was not free to air. Biggest basketball ball game for Tasmania and wouldn't put it on. Was super disappointed.

.Staff at reception and check in was lovely and went up and beyond in her service for us esp been late check in and due to booking.com muck up got a free upgrade 😀 and was lovely room beautiful views 😀 thankyou

Only complaint was rude staff in the diner section there basically put in a pizza order for take away order was told the people dining in take first priority over us and it be 30 minute wait made us feel obligated to eat in wasn't wait time that mattered was more fact that comment made would be nicer way to make guests feel welcome don't mind bout the wait but make guest feel bad for ordering take out was our main complaint , pizza had no cheese was little confused and food was not the best sadly we went up to St helens for rest of meals during stay

Location right on waterfront you could watch waves coming in. They had restaurant which did lunch and dinner. Two cafes opposite which you could get breakfast or a snack. Only half hour drive to st helens which had supermarkets and lot food supplies for your stay. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Rooms a bit outdated could do with lick of paint and some new carpet my room had scuffs marks near windows. Didn't look as nice as Web sites. The TV reception was bad but they just had big storms which had affected it.

Location and restuarant was good. Price for what you get is pretty reasonable with pool and playground facilities.

No option for breakfast at restuarant, which is fine however there was only a kettle and cups provided. A couple bowls and a toaster at a minimum wouldve been handy to provide kids breakfast as options are limited in Scamander. Rooms get quite hot in summer also, we slept with doors open and even with the sea breeze found it hot. For the kids perhaps consideration for them with the option of a pedestal fan.

We had a little family getaway, we booked 7 rooms. Across the bar everyone was happy with their rooms and facilities. All the kids loved being able to have access to the playground, tennis court and pool. And we loved that it was all enclosed in one area. Bonus part was the family doggos were welcome to join us. Staff were great

The rooms essentially had everything we could ask for but we had to bring a microwave with us. It would definitely be be beneficial for one to be in each room especially travelling with kids of all ages

We arrived on Christmas Day and had Christmas lunch in the restaurant which was lovely. The staff were super friendly. The room had recently been refurbished and was very comfortable.

We were above the restaurant and very close to the public bar. The outside lighting remained on all night which was disappointing. Fortunately the bar was closed but had it been opened it would have been quite noisy.
