We were traveling through AUS for three weeks for the first time, and the Pelican Point Sanctuary was our favorite accommodation on our trip. Honestly, it was one of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. The location is amazing- minutes away from St. Helens which has grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants, as well as The Bay of Fires and lots of stunning beaches along the way. And the accommodation itself was breathtaking. We loved walking around the grounds and taking in the stunning views. The bed was comfortable, we loved the full kitchen and black-out curtains, and appreciated the on-site amenities of the grill and laundry. Truly can’t recommend enough.
No notes.

Of all the places we stayed in Tassie this was by far the best! We stayed in Blue Wren which had 180 degrees of view and most of this was floor to ceiling. If you like bird watching this is the great place to stay as it has a hide which looks into the estuary, if not sit back and enjoy the view as the bird life will come to you!!! Alternatively wander/cycle along the newly built walkway into town which is also worth a visit. The facilities were luxurious and had a real wow factor about them. When we're back that way I'll certainly be staying here again.

What a stunning place! It's such a peaceful property and you have free roam over the whole place which presents like a big park! There's a guest laundry on site, BBQ facilities, places to bird watch, a river to visit, a town within walking distance (on the longer walking distance side - 15 to 20min walk, but hey, walking is great for you). The cottage itself (Blue Wren) was amazingly appointed, perfect for our stay. Had a fully functional kitchen with some basics provided and a decent sized fridge. The wildlife (mostly birds and the occassional pademelon) were so amazing to have around. Provided wifi was also great to have!

This place is a paradise. So quiet, beautiful outlook, close to town, bird life everywhere, great walks on the extensive property (many decades ago the property was a golf course apparently). Jerome, the newish owner was great and we had a natter with his mate, Des, who is responsible for all the new buildings. Great local tips from both of them. We stayed in the 'Robin' villa. Along with quite a few others, this is close to brand new, so well appointed, sensational bed, double glazed glass, so warm and cosy, veranda, duck pond off the veranda. It was just fantastic. Pelican Point is part destination as well as a great place to stay.
There was one thing that really disappointed me. That was that we were only there for two nights. With so much to do in Tasmania's north east corner and this being such a great place to stay, we lamented the shortness of our stay.

We loved our stay at Pelican Point ,especially looking at the bird life and the pond outside the lounge windows . It was such a peaceful place to stay in . I thought the scenery was going to be quite rugged being in a bird sanctuary but we were really surprised by how nice it is . Also the town of St Helens is nice as well . We hope to be back if we come to Tasmania again .
We had no complaints at all . You don't need to do anything to the property it's spectacular as it is .

We loved this place! Chosen because of the location - a few minutes drive from St Helen’s and 10 minutes from Binalong Bay. It’s lovely and quiet and the Heron unit was extremely spacious and comfortable with wonderful views over the lagoon and wetlands. The unit had all the conveniences for self catering, and with the views and ambience we opted to dine in! Jerome was a friendly host. Thoroughly recommend!!

We stayed 3 nights at Pelican Point Park. It was the perfect base for us to explore the Bay of Fires area. The hosts Jerome & Sam were very welcolming . They live on site which is always helpful. They maintain their property impeccably. The outside environment is a bird lover’s delight. Located just outside of St. Helen’s this property allows the best of both worlds , a delightful natural setting only a few kms away from town facilities.

The owner gave us a great tip where to eat and it was perfectly romantic. He also pointed out the trails on his property and I made use of them. The Blue wren cottage is unassuming from the outside but is immaculate inside. Both of us slept soundly on probably the most comfortable bed during our month long tour of Victoria and Tasmania. There are 2 towns within 9 kilometers.

This was a surprising out-of-the-box find. I was expecting a decent enough place for the price, but it turned out to be delightful, a real gem. We stayed 3 nights, just soaking it all in. The room overlooked the fields and wetlands, making you feel like stopping and simply watching or reading or nothing. Got a load of washing done and caught a good look of the mysterious platypus one morning, just after dawn.
Nothing.

Fantastic location in the middle of an 87 acre bird sanctuary. Beautifully appointed villa unit with amazing views from all rooms. Veranda runs full length of the building. Extremely well appointed kitchen and spotlessly clean. Abundant bird life. Very peaceful spot to spend time with some lovely walks on the property.
Absolutely nothing not to like.
