Nice and modern Great breakfast Wonderful staff

Our mistake, we booked ocean view room without realising it was away from the main complex, requiring us to drive there for breakfast and pool.

Amazing location, the architecture of the building was extraordinary. The shower in the bathroom was wonderful, great pressure. Room size was good given we were there for a week. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant. I had an excellent massage from Amy. The food and wine were lovely.

The room wasn’t vacuumed for Five days ( I had to ask housekeeping to do it ) The thermal spa was somewhat tired and in need of maintenance. A complementary small bottle of water for each guest daily would be a suggestion as I have experienced this elsewhere and as an hotelier myself, is something we provide for our guests. Just a little simple acknowledgement to mark the fact that it was Christmas Day could have been an added touch, something inexpensive just to add to the festive experience. ( eg Chocolate on the pillow etc)

I stayed at the resort for 3 nights and it was exceptional. The team at reception were so kind and friendly and looked after me so well. Special mention to ladies for making sure I had a bath in my room. During my stay I ate breakfast in the restaurant and had room service and all food was incredible. I visited One Spa twice during my stay and it was simply outstanding.. The treatments were exceptional and the team at the spa couldn’t have been more perfect if they tried. If you haven’t had a vicchy treatment of your life, I highly recommend. They looked after me so well and the treatments and service was first class. Overall my trip was amazing and I will definitely be back.

Great views, amazing welcome by staff, great cleanliness all around, facilities were open late and early to make the most of, location is good if you're travelling around Mornington. Would definitely come back again especially during summer to experience all the facilities resort had to offer.

breakfast food was not hot to my liking. Not much range on the food, ie: fruit selection did not have varieties. A little bit of slow customer service around the restaurant. I requested for a riped banana as they only had green ones on show, staff passed me and said she'll check it however she ended up going to her station and had forgotten about it. I requested another staff and no follow up as well. I would've understand if they didn't have it available instead of just making me wait with no reply. Otherwise I only had high expectation for breakfast as reviews were amazing and consistent. Maybe I just had a bad luck with that day. Staff were still friendly at the end of the day.

5 STAR in cleanliness - rooms were excellent & such a WOW WOW WOW bathroom, best ever. Breakfast in Samphire was superb - lots of variety, excellent quality and lots of seats available, 5 STAR too.

Lack of communication from RACV Reservations - sent an email on RACV Cape Schanck Website 4 days before check-in and needed an answer, never received a reply & when brought up at Check In was laughed off about missing it, that wasn't professional & reflects badly on such a professional organisation. Also ..... the TV reception was SHOCKING - don't rely on watching TV whilst there - it was very hard to actually watch any channel.

Beautiful scenery and views, staff in the restaurant were lovely, gave us a free coffee because we had sat down and they needed us to change tables which was a nice gesture. The pool and spa were really nice.

We stayed in an ocean view room but there was a strong smell of cigarettes which dampened the experience a bit, but the view made up for it. Also think that for the price you pay to stay a night, it's a bit outdated to not have streaming options like Netflix etc. there are way cheaper places that have this and having to pay to watch a movie seems like twenty years ago.

Food was nice, staff were happy.

Our stay was given as a gift. Went to the bar and was told could not use cash. Not used to paying everything by credit card. As far as we knew CASH IS LEGAL TENDER. With going through COVID you would think businesses would not knock back any money. We prefer to see how much we are spending. We went into town and did some shopping and apparently a lot of people have mentioned this to shop owners. Unfortunately we will not be back because of this reason. If things change let us know. Not to mention we are all paying extra- as in bank fees.

The facilities are fabulous, in particular the outdoor pool setting. Cape Schanck when it’s sunny is a stunning part of the world.

Unfortunately the security camera malfunctioned at the outdoor pool which meant we could not use it from 9am - 3pm. Obviously it was unavoidable but we would have appreciated some sort of compensation for the inconvenience. We were so disappointed since it was a magnificent day weather wise. The video game in the games room did not work which was disappointing as it’s a great game. I would suggest making movies either $4.95 or free, would just be a nice touch. Also an indoor shower would be great at the outdoor pool.

Good value and location.

I made a reservation for dinner at The Cape Restaurant through the hotel phone's "Cape" button for 7:30pm the next day. We were looking forward to experiencing the 5-course meal with wine pairing. Upon arriving for our dinner, we were seated, but to our surprise, we were taken to the Samphire restaurant instead of The Cape as we had originally booked. The staff informed us that it must have been a mistake on our part and that they would have mentioned it was the Samphire restaurant during the phone reservation. I explained that the hotel phone clearly indicated "Cape," not "Samphire." Unfortunately, this misunderstanding led to us not having the dinner we had initially planned.

The view from the hotel room was spectacular, it was the perfect two day get away. The all you can eat buffet was amazing and my son absolutely loved the mac & cheese for dinner, compliments to the chef. The facilities are wonderful, with an outdoor play area for children, swimming pool, gym, sauna and spa. It was the perfect two day getaway.

I didn't like that the staff constantly came around to see if the parents were watching the kids in the pool (which they were), he came across quite creepy. I wish they were a bit more flexible with checking out later in the am, that didn't include a fee. The way I was treated at check in felt like I almost didn't belong there. I found it odd that I was asked to pay for the stay at check-in, which has never happened before at any hotel, anywhere in the world. Was not a good feeling.
