Lovely older hotel in a central location, with rooms on the first floor accessed by stairs and/or a lift. Friendly helpful staff. Spacious modernised bathroom and a very comfortable bed, although very little space in the room to access or unpack suitcases. A good 'standard country motel' breakfast is included, delivered to the room the evening before. But there's no easy way to eat in the room, except sitting on the bed with plates on laps. On the other hand, the hotel's popular restaurant offers a great range of breakfast options, as well as lunches, everyday (plus excellent dinners on some days of the week). We really enjoyed all the meals we had there, with plenty of choice on the menus.
It would be a lot easier if the included simple breakfast was delivered to and eaten in the dining room!

The Continental breakfast was a bonus. The location was excellent and close to everything in the centre of Maryborough. The building was gorgeous, and the architecture and decor were excellent. The room was quiet despite there being many other guests in the building.
We didn't realise when we booked that we only opted for a double bed - not an insurmountable problem and one we lived with given it was my mistake, however the room was tight and to navigate around the foot of the bed involved clutching onto the mantlepiece to prevent over balancing back onto the bed. The only other issue was that the free WiFi didn't reach our room (the signal was very week) meaning that the internet kept on dropping in and out. First World problems and ones we will get over 😊

Beautifully and lovingly restored Hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean and fitted out to a very high standard. The owners made us feel very welcome and attended to every need. The room we were in was so quiet as well - it’s not a rowdy hotel - very serene. I highly recommend this beautiful property should you wish to stay in Maryborough. Oh yes - dinner was soooo good as well! A real treat! While you’re in Maryborough go and see the amazing railway station!
Loved everything!

The hotel was good. Clean.
The hotel was good. The parking situation was not that good. When I arrived there was no parking and I was told to park on the street which has the limit to 2h , and the staff said that I'm not going to get fined. I didn't feel comfortable to park on the street so I parked behind another car. So, in less than 15min they called me to say that I'm not allowed to park behind another car... and there was a free spot just for me. Later on, I saw a staff member leaving with car at the end of the shift from the same car park. The breakfast room opens really late... for that price..

The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in away from home. The owners go the extra mile to have pillow top mattresses. The bed is so soft unlike every other place we have stayed. Most beds in other hotels are very firm for longevity. Not very comfortable at all. We came back to The Bull and Mouth on this trip to the area because of the quality of the bed. In regards to other aspects of the Hotel, our room was immaculately clean and well kept. There was no fraying on any material, no chipped paintwork, no cracked tiles, no sticky doors. The linen was beautiful, the towels were Large and luxurious. And the milk in the fridge was a usable size, not those small awkward sachets. I would highly recommend The Bull and Mouth and will return often for no other reason than that the beds are the best. Also, the restaurant downstairs is great, the cocktail bar is comfy. And the hotel is beautifully close to everything.
Nothing, but be aware that rubbish collection is on a Saturday morning so if you’ve had a late Friday night…

The room was really well appointed. Great bathroom. Great bed. High ceiling. Very comfortable. Very clean. Staff were friendly. My eggs and bacon on Turkish bread toast was good.Room was very quiet. The spa bath is the deepest I've seen anywhere.
I thought the continental breakfast included in my rate was a bit stingey. But the room rate was low, so I'm not complaining. No late checkout but the lady explained why very nicely and let me set up in the front bar to work. There was no desk in my room. View from my room was disappointing.

Very clean and well presented. Excellent continental breakfast included. The wine bar has a good drinks list and is a very comfortable and relaxing room. Also it is a great location in the town.
2 chairs in the room would have been better for a couple and there should be wine glasses provided. Having no lights on in the passageways at night is not good and dangerous. My wife slipped on a step inside, going to our room after coming in at about 10.15pm, when there were no light on inside.

The hotel is old world ambiance and charm. Beautiful wooden staircase and ceilings. The bathroom was spacious while the king size single room is not so roomy but ample for a sole traveller. Walking distance to everything and the continental breakfast is an available. Good quality coffee available in the room with a restaurant within the complex.
Parking can be limited if the hotel is fully booked

The beds were super comfortable, and room was nicely decorated. I did however kick my shins on the bed corners every time I walked around the room.
The included breakfast was brought to the room the night before, on a tray. There is a toaster & kettle in the room to prepare it yourself, but there's nowhere to sit and eat. It would have been a much nicer experience if the trays were put out in the corner bar/dining room with a toaster & kettle for self prep, then be able to relax and enjoy eating at a table.

On arrival we found the exterior facade quite impressive. Once inside the interior was just as impressive. We were allocated room 3. It was very clean ,spacious , comfortable and luxurious. Far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was great, service, food etc. Finally the staff were friendly and helpful.
The only thing I can think of is maybe a brighter light in the bathroom.
