The hotel had a very good overall modern feel to the interior. Our room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Since we stayed in the opening week, the only facilities open was the gym. Although the hotel had just opened up for business, we could’ve been notified about this. Otherwise, the hotel was great.

Great location. Nice room. Huge tv. Great shower and use of the space.

The doona was literally a quilt between two bed sheets. Also house keeping don’t seem to check the toilet paper stock. Once I had to ask reception for another roll and then housekeeping still didn’t refill the extra in the drawer. It was only when I was totally out of toilet paper and purposely left an empty roll on the holder that they actually provided a new roll. The alley also felt a little sketchy to walk down alone as a female at night when coming back from AO (but I did appreciate someone manning the reception at all hours). Wish there was more room in the fridge to put my own bottles of water. The fridge was waaaay too full.

The location is amazing, so easy to get out and explore Melbourne CBD and the surrounding suburbs. The bed was very comfy and we slept so well, which isn’t always so for us.

The rooms are really nicely designed but there are a few quirks on the bathroom that were a bit irritating. The shower water was leaking under the screen into the toilet space and the sliding doors that enclosed the bathroom, while super cool and a great design idea, weren’t on a floor track so they hit the wall every time they slid into the cavity. It’s clearly been patched already so it seems like an ongoing issue. The mini bar is too small, you can’t fit a bottle of wine in it.

The room was lovely, modern and clean. The mattress was super comfortable. Tv was huge and I lived the coffee machine (would have been even better if there had been a milk frother) Location was excellent so close to the mall and great eating places, coffee, trams and close for walking anywhere else. Staff were so friendly and helpful. One amazing staff member organised us a new room when he found out how noisy ours was (we were staying four nights so we very much appreciated it). NONE of the noise was the fault of the hotel, rubbish trucks late at night and building works across the street…

Our first room was very noisy, no fault of the hotel, we were given a different room by a lovely staff member who organised it so quickly (it certainly wasn’t expected)… we loved everything about the hotel!

The location is excellent and in the CBD area, yet it was in a quieter area. We also didn’t experience any loud construction noises described though we did see some fenced up construction areas. Wouldn’t describe the pillows as luxurious or anything but for some reason, my husband and I had very good sleep. Staff were also friendly and responsive. He welcomed us and also provided us a map of the area. Also, he was very responsive to my feedback and response when I informed them that my room aircon stopped working in the first night/ next day morning and that was promptly fixed.

The security deposit was somewhat of an inconvenience. Found the towels had a strong smell of what I would described as paint or turpentine. I informed the hotel and they provided new towels, but same smell. Perhaps it’s the choice of laundry detergent. There isn’t any proper road leading up to the doorway of the hotel, I think. Though I did see a Uber car turn in and drive up all the way to the hotel doorway once but most of the time I don’t see cars driving up so not sure if it is possible. There are some parking lots, in front of the T2 shop, along Little Collin St, good for loading and unloading luggage without blocking traffic.

The location is great, room was very quiet despite it being next to the lift, no sound at all, not even construction noise.

On arrival there was a holding bond fee of $100 taken said to be credited on departure, however it was debited from my account before reaching the room and apparently will be credited at their discretion in the coming weeks. That is not acceptable. I had also left a pair of script glasses behind but was told they aren't there without even looking..Have to su k that one up.

restaurant still coming couldn't get any of the movies to play on the lovely large tv , kept coming up with an error Wilson carpark with discount was a fair walk away Perhaps a small thing but wine glass had visible lip gloss marks. Concerned about other things not being properly cleaned, especially with so many COVID infections active in the lead up to Christmas. The cleaning staff also seemed to be under the pump. We weren't acknowledged leaving our room and had to wait for another elevator as they prioritised themselves with the cart.

I stayed for one night and was looking for a central location and comfortable hotel for myself. I had a fantastic stay, the room and lobby was beautiful, clean and modern. I arrived already at 8am and gave the hotel a quick ring to let them know and enquire about the option of an early check in. While my room wasn‘t available at that time they checked me in, stored my luggage and sprung into action straight away. I heard the manager talking to the houskeeping team asking for my room to be prioritsed. They didn‘t have to do this but it was so appreciated. Excellent service and I was able to move in at 10am! 🤩 Overall, fantastic stay and I‘d love to come back!

Was amazing. Staff accepted requests and done everything to make it the best stay for my partner and I. Room was extremely tidy and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was beautiful and very spacious. 24/7 reception was very helpful and all staff members were very nice and welcoming. Plus had great mini bar options and selection of movies on the smart TVs. Will definitely be staying again in the future.

Only negative was the light switches played up sometimes and wouldn’t turn the lights off but worked after a few tries. Couldn’t flaw anything else.

I had a really wonderful stay at The Howey. The staff were so friendly every time. The rooms are modern, clean with contemporary design and all the little things you need. I thought it was really good value for money and the location was so central and made my short work trip easy and comfortable. The room was quiet with good lighting. The bathroom was luxurious. Even the soap was great! T2 tea and a coffee maker too.

Nothing really. If I had to nit pick, my room was serviced on the first night but not the second but that wasn't really a problem other than I ran out of breakfast tea. That's all I can think of!
