The setting and land area in which this motel complex is situated bodes well for its future success. The owners are obviously working hard in updating rooms and facilities and it works!

We did not meet the owner/operators however this did not create problems in room access or enjoying amenity. It is a busy time of year for the hospitality industry so attention to ensuring reception is staffed at times indicated would be advised - as we have hospitality industry experience, we would have enjoyed personally thanking our hosts and encouraging them in their endeavors.

Great little budget motel. The rooms were spacious, very clean with a nice view of Mount Buffalo. Lovely fluffy towels and bathroom supplies.

The motel is about 2km out of Porepunkah, about a 20min flat walk or 3 minute drive. There are no other facilities at the motel, so a good, reasonably priced base to go out and explore the area.

Set in beautiful gardens and surrounds. Loved the large and comfy room and the extra touches put into things like the Christmas decorations, towels and beautifully draped and arranged bed linen. Even the toilet roll was folded into an animal shape and there were slippers to take and use. In our month long road trip, this is our pick for BEST accommodation. Staff are friendly and thoughtful, pre cooling the room on a hot day. Just loved it. We'll be back!

Absolutely nothing. Loved it all.

Lovely location and warm and obliging staff. We had chosen a king room but on arrival, we found the bed too soft for our personal taste. The staff were trying to manage a lightening strike that had temporarily taken out the local area’s internet when we asked the beautiful manager if there was another bed option. She and one of the friendly cleaning staff were only too happy to assist us in changing to a more suitable bed for us. They made up another room while we went on a bike ride and it was all beautifully presented when we returned. Both my partner and I would like to say thanks. We have now stayed at the Buffalo Motel twice and will definitely do so again if we are back in Porepunkah.

This is the most amazing property. Perfect for all seasons. We stayed for a week over new years this year and have gone back again for a week in winter. The rooms are cute and spacious. Very comfy bed. Air con and heating worked brilliantly. The property has the most amazing views of buffalo. And backs onto the river, the perfect spot to lay in the sun.

Advertising wifi, but poor signal. I’m assuming due to the distance of the rooms to the modem, might suggest a booster if possible?

Accommodation was spacious, very clean with good toiletries & good heating. Hotel outdoors was inviting with good vistas of Mt Buffalo Range, Ovens River and plenty of autumn foliage. Was able to visit Mt Buffalo lookouts & the Horn, Bright, Beechworth, Stanley and surrounding areas. and meals at the Porepunkah Pub, Bright Brewery and Brown Brothers winery in Milawa. Luckily for us, the weather was clear when we were out.

No microwave but that is okay with us. The Expresso coffee machine was good.

It was one of the best places we stayed on our 3 week road trip, involving 10 accommodations. They have thought of everything you could possibly need ,available either in the room or elsewhere on the property, they even had a 2 seater recliner couch in the room, king size bed, large ? recently renovated bathroom with lots of handy shelving and hooks. It’s situated right on the Ovens river bank, and is a walkable distance to the local pub. The staff are lovely, and very accommodating.

Nice and quiet surroundigs. Lots of parking space. Good space in room, heater in main room and bathroom (a good surprise), fridge (with bottles of water), toaster, nespresso machine, kettle, mugs, cups, cutleries, plates, bowls, coffee and biscuits (we loved the biscuits), tv, heated bed, hangers, iron. 9mins away to bright. Friendly staff, instructions communicated well.

Block curtains not wide enough, nothing major tho.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. View and facilities on the deck were great. Allowed whole family to have meals together, and ample place for kids to play. Beds very comfortable.

Rooms could benefit from a refurbishment. Dead animal smell near our room. Source could not be identified. Unfortunate.

Great location with exceptionally friendly service, cleanliness, facilities, amenities and provisions. What an amazing place and staff. Way beyond our expectations and the loveliest of surprises to find our room heating on, electric blankets and lights on when we arrived around 9pm on a cold night. Towels were thick and fluffy, bedding amazing with even weighted blankets provided!! Tea coffee, biscuits and a perfect range of crockery & cutlery were in the room. The bathroom was spotless and sparkling and a full range of bathroom need provided. Thanks - we'll look forward to our next stay and definitely recommend it to others. Looks like a great all year round place to stay!
