Very nice quaint motel. Great location for a stopover before a longer drive the next day. Friendly, easy check in. Pleasantly decorated, clean and comfortable. At the edge of town and a short walk to the Royal Hotel where we had a hearty pub meal. Will definitely use The Wattle again!

This is not The Wattle’s fault. Some guests departing very early were noisy. Probably to be expected as it’s a handy motel for an overnight rest.

This little motel may look dated on the outside, but the rooms and facilities were great. We had a family room which had 4 beds with a small kitchen area between the rooms. Both rooms had TV's and separate heating. Rooms looked very modern for the dated exterior. The large TV in the main bedroom was huge. Would absolutely stay here again. Walking distance to local pubs for a meal.

Renovating quiet motel in a good location. Clean and comfortable. with everything needed for a good nights rest. I'll choose this one over the others in town next time I need to stay

Needed to lift the microwave from under the cupboard and lift up into the bench & fortunately I was able to do this. Inconvenient, but at least there was a nice clean one available.

The room had been nicely renovated. Lovely comfortable bed and huge TV. The hosts had been thoughtful enough to turn the heating on prior to my arrival and this was a lovely touch. On check out I thanked the host and he said they always turn the heating or cooling on prior to guests arriving.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the windows in the bathroom could not be closed.

great location, quiet, easy to access.

my two suggestions would be to add wine glasses into the rooms as most people on a stay away would love a glass of wine. and in the queen rooms, an accessible outlet to plug phone chargers into that’s near the bed would be wonderful! I had to climb under the bed to access the board that was nailed to the wall under the centre of the bed. It’s nothing major but I use my phone as a clock :) otherwise an excellent option we will definitely use again!

The beds were very comfortable, liked that there was no carpet on the floor, crockery and cutlery were clean and ready to be used, towels were soft and fluffy and the TV was massive! Plenty of bench space, storage space and the fridge was clean and ice free (a nice change from other motels we have stayed in).

An older style single level bungalow stye setup. The rooms are nice and fresh and well thought out. Huge TV with streaming media, comfy bedding and nice wide car spot right outside the room. We were arriving late and David was very responsive advising us how to access the room. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Friendly owner, though probably doing it tough in a little place like Seymour. As in many motels these days lot of road workers etc. staying but all well behaved and quiet. Not a motel you would write home about but it's not trying to be like that, it is just a decent and comfortable place to sleep.

I really appreciated the easy late check-in, being able to plug in our electric car to an external plug for a little extra charge overnight, and the family room was set out well with comfortable beds. Perfect for our quick stop on our long drive. I wonder if the owners might like to consider installing a rapid EV charger - there aren't many in the area at all & it could bring more business!

The room was very clean. It was two bedrooms and had a huge tv in each room. The kitchen area was unexpected so was a great little bonus.

Usually there is a book with things to do in the area and menus to local restaurants which was missing. This is the only thing we could fault.
