Lovely location. There's a peacock, chickens and some possums. So it's a good place for kiddies and adults who like animals etc. The place was roomy and nicely decorated. There was even books if you felt like reading. No need to worry about cars getting broken into or stolen as it's quite secluded but it's also easy to find. We stayed there while attending a car show. Plenty of car space and also some nice spots to take pictures. We took a few of our car but there are some nice back grounds for any pictures.

Spiders!!!!! lol. The first night we were there, a large spider decided to come in and say hello. Luckily for me there was some spray in the unit! The ones outside don't bother me. We were woken by some banging on the roof possibly by possums. They sounded like they were having a great time. hehe! :-) None of this would stop me from staying there again.

In the middle of nowhere & you could still hear some truck noise on the highway at night but it is a perfect base to explore Rutherglen and enjoy country comfort in the evenings. I went for early morning walks and enjoyed the area very much. The hosts are very accommodating and we arrived to find freshly baked brownies in our kitchen. the lounge room is just lovely too.

Had sufficient kitchenware so we could prepare our own dinner and breakfast; lovely country surrounds to relax in after a long day in the car; quiet and peaceful; suitable for the elderly;

Nothing really; we had to side-step one or two unwanted critters, dead and alive, tho we didn't mind as we are country folk.

Lovely friendly atmosphere in an interesting, historic venue. Gorgeous setting, stunning grounds to walk around, greeted by sheep, ducks, geese, chickens and peacocks. Fabulous outdoor kitchen and plenty of space for outdoor dining. Family friendly, affordable and comfortable for all.

The property was conveniently located and so quaint. We were greeted by 2 beautiful peacocks and gorgeous coloured chickens. Then the host! All fabulous.

It was all terrific.

The location was perfect, the property itself was well appointed and very comfortable. Sat outside watching the sunset, with a glass of bubbles as the peacocks strolled around- if you’re looking to relax, the Old Butter Factory is perfect

Nothing negative to say

It is such a pretty place! My family had a great time, eating dinner outside under the gazebo, playing in the large yard, and looking at the chickens, geese, peacock, and cow.

There was no air conditioning, but the ceiling fans cooled us nicely. Also, the bathroom for our unit was in a different building, but still very nearby.

We couldn’t fault our stay at the Old Butter Factory as we received a warm welcome from the hosts Karen and Phil who made us immediately feel at home. The unit was spacious and had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounds and the added bonus were the geese and the dazzling peacocks that freely roamed the grounds.

That our stay was only three days and would have loved to stay longer.

It was very quiet (although I was warned about a peacock calling out in the morning) and there was a lovely outdoor shaded area. The building stayed cool despite the heat making it easier to sleep (as the air conditioner is in the lounge). The queen bedroom has a pedestal fan.

The microwave was difficult to use and a very badly written manufacturer's manual wasn't very helpful. There is nowhere to eat in Springhurst, so you need to self cater or go to Chiltern (which isn't very far). As there is only a single induction ring, electric frypan and BBQ, you need to plan a meal accordingly.

Quiet, comfortable rooms and quirky surrounds, reminded us if our time living in a village in France Two cup cakes lovely treat.
