The hotel is brand new, architecturally perfect, stylish and reeks of old times. It is as if you have returned to the end of the 19th century. Everything is perfectly designed and combined with the modern age. The staff is very kind, very professional, and I would especially single out Anja, Romano and Timo from the reception, Zoran from the Spa center and the younger guy from the restaurant ( during breakfast time). We are definitely coming again in January.

The five star hotel should have fresh ( orange ) juice for breakfast.

We were initially unsure about the price, but the hotel more than justified it. With its many amenities—including a spa, restaurant, café, and bar—we found ourselves not wanting to leave at all. The staff was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and incredibly eager to help, even providing recommendations before we arrived. Both the café and restaurant offered excellent food, adding to the overall experience. The hotel had a relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. Everything—from the service to the amenities—matched the price, making it well worth the money. As a thoughtful touch, they even arranged a free taxi service to the train station. We would highly recommend this hotel; it’s absolutely worth the stay.

Awesome property with amazing service. Staff is doing their extra mile to ensure the guest stay in the highest level, from welcoming till saying goodbye. Cleanliness 10/10, breakfast team, food in restaurant is worth around least Michelin recommendation. Bedding is perfect, sleep with waterfall sounds and views are far beyond expectations. Special thanks to Spa lady. Our stay is definitely too short, Bad Gastein has to offer and Straubinger team is well trained and hospitable to assist in this. Highly recommended!

Everything - old meets new perfectly in the design of this hotel. The bedroom and spa facilities were both next level. Friendly, helpful staff and a brilliant breakfast. Honestly, it's probably the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Would 100% recommend and will 100% return

The only small negative I can think of is that the saunas aren't available for use until 11am. So no pre-check out sauna on the day we left. Otherwise, only positives.

An incredible hotel with plenty of charm. The staff were superb. Always friendly and keeping on top of everything. Restaurant food was delicious. The facilities (room and spa) were excellent. There is a hike trail a short walk away from the hotel which leads you to the neighbouring town of Böckstein; beautiful scenery and not too heavy an incline. We will come back next winter.

Location of the hotel is the absolutely beautiful , I would even say best in whole city. Swimming next to the waterfall while watching mountains is one of the kind experience. Room is really nice and great combination of old and modern.

Wellness was really great but missing jacuzzi , Turkish sauna (wet) . It’s spread on 3 floors and only on reception desk available fruits and drinks. It could be on each floor , advice

This place knocked our socks off. Far beyond expectations, a great stop after hiking in the mountains for a few days. The staff was amazing. Super kind and helpful. Sauna over looking the waterfall? Yep. Infinity Pool ? Sign me up. Great breakfast.

Was not prepared for the hills down to the hotel, or up from it. This has nothing to do with the hotel. And was kind of funny given all the hiking we had just done.

Everything was exceptional! The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very helpful, even giving us advice on what to do in Bad Gastein. We felt take cared of at all times. Having the spa just next door from our room was also a bonus! A great start of the day jumping on the swimming pool and relaxing in the sauna.

One of the most luxurious and beautiful hotels we've been to! We just fell in love with the place. Everything feels like a palace, The spa is amazing, the staff was unusually kind (especially the lovely and wonderful Bruno) and helped with every little detail, The rooms are amazingly decorated The view from the room is perfect good breakfast And above all an atmosphere of peace and quiet We will definitely be back!!

Probably one of the best hotels I've ever been to. Perfect room, nice SPA zone with a pool.

'Free shuttle-bus to airport' mentioned on hotel booking page is obvious lie, no one is going to drive you there. But it was main selling point for me, so that is quite unpleasant.
