I would call Penz West a hidden gem. We stayed at the hotel with friends the night we got into Innsbruck before heading for holiday in the Dolomites. We stayed there again when flying out after that. The staff was courteous, and customer service focused. They checked us in quickly so we could get to our rooms after a long day. Food at the restaurant was great with the best apple struedel we had during our time in Austria. Breakfast was wonderful as well, and the staff even started it early the day we flew out so we could eat before leaving. Rooms were comfortable and roomy. Lastly, it's a 5 minute walk to the airport. We will stay there again.

I would like compliment the reception staff on both night and morning time. We arrive Innsbruck at late night with very cold weather. We ask check-in staff for water boiler, she come up with water boiler + enough tea and paper cup for everyone. Breakfast is also good. Private parking is big enough. I love the elevator and automatic door at ground floor, it is very convenience for those who have big luggage and stuff. Panorama view room was meet our expectation. Although the hotel is located near airport, the rooms are very quiet.

Spotlessly clean with five star service. I had some medication with me that I needed to keep chilled, and the staff very kindly offered to keep it in their own fridge for me during my stay in case my room mini bar fridge wasn't cold enough. My room was quiet and tastefully appointed. It is a few minutes walk from Innsbruck airport. I would stay here again.

Some man barged into my room in the morning despite the fact that I had the 'do not disturb' sign up.

I stayed here for the proximity tothe airport. It is literally a few minutes walk down the road which was amazing. Breakfast is served in a large airy room and all the food was really tasty. The bar area lacked a bit of atmosphere but I was just pleased to have got there after a long day of travelling. The room was stunning, big with a lovely sofa to relax in.

The bar area could have been a bit more welcoming but the staff made up for that as they were great.

The employees were so wonderful! Our car broke down going over the alps and we needed to turn back to Innsbruck and find a car near the car rental facility. This hotel was right there and it had a beautiful terrace that we ate/ drank ( lots) on. Lovely staff at the front desk and management. Super comfy beds

Our dinner waiter was grumpy and just gave us things that were expense. We ordered 2(two) bottles of “ house wine” for dinner and he charged us 34 and 36 Euros for the same bottle. Then charged us for four ) desserts when we asked for a big slice of strudel. (Don’t judge, you weren’t rolling down the Alps backwards with no power in your car.) Thank goodness we manager took care of it the next morning and informed us they don’t have “ house” wines, but only bottles of nice Wines. Thank you Nina!!! The honesty here is heartwarming.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was quiet. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Bus into the Old Town was easy and convenient, €3.

The hotel is actually SEVEN minutes walk from the airport or TEN if pulling luggage or a trolley (not 2 minutes as their website says) . This would make a big difference if the weather is bad. Luckily the pouring rain stopped just in time. Dinner was mediocre, only worked as a convenient option.

Stayed here for a night. Lovely staff. Excellent location - it’s close to the airport but there are frequent buses into town which takes literally 15 minutes. It’s clean and the furniture in the bedroom was nice. Really spacious and comfy.

My room had a mini fridge which was nice, but it would be even better if the rooms had a kettle too with tea/coffee making facilities. Also bear in mind you have to pay extra for breakfast.

My room had an excellent view of the approach end of Innsbruck airport as was with 6 minutes walking to the airport. Which for me was a huge plus. I was able to get a bus card as well which made it very easy to go into the City and around.

Bus stop had no real walkway to get to. I just ended up crossing then crossing back when it was safe.

Amazing value for money. Ideal location. The staff treated us with the utmost respect despite us coming in looking like dirty travellers :) Extremely attentive!!! And the ‘vanity’ floor was beautiful!! And included in the price?!?! Amazing!

We got lost arriving by following the satnav. Had a great tour of the uni campus though! 😅 Absolutely nothing to do with the hotel though!

This couldn't be a better location to stay for a flight out and have a relaxed first night if your holiday. Easy access to the city centre on the 'F' bus that pretty much stops outside. Also you can take a bike or scooter. Five minutes walk tio the terminal. An amazing breakfast spread. Super modern, clean, spacious rooms. Lovely spa on the top floor all included. The evening meal was ok and appreciate it was limited as they had a large unexpected group in. The little bar almost directly opposite the hotel was great for a drink and snack and full of local people, cheap and cheerful.

The check in staff and the lady in the restaurant were lovely, helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately there is one bar man who is not happy, he is just not congruent with the rest of the team. I have never had to pay cash for a drink and food in any hotel as I go. I. can see the benefits especially when you don't get your change, assuming it as a tip! We felt slightly scammed. : (
