Location is very good. Breakfast is delicious. Staff is warm and helpful!

Entrance to the car park is very narrow, but we had the owner to help us drive in and park.

Location is perfect, it’s right in the center of downtown of Melk. We had the abbey view from our room. All restaurants and shops are around the property, well the property has its own restaurant too. The room is cute, a true country side style of room. Comfortable and clean. They change towels every day. The buffet breakfast is very good. Lots of choices. The personnel is courteous. By the way, the facade of the property is very charming, everybody took pictures when they passed by.

They didn’t refill the food fast enough. Their croissants were delicious, but we could eat only 1. We asked if they will refill them soon, and they answered they had to bake.

Excellent location. Easy and quick walk from train/bus station. Clean, no frills room with firm but comfortable bed, plenty of hot water for bath or shower. Very speedy and helpful service at check in. Excellent, attentive and friendly service from Allison in the breakfast room. She's an asset to your hotel. Varied and plentiful breakfast offering and good coffee.

An extra garbage can for the room would be great. Extra pillows in room would be nice as well.

they say people make the difference and this is what it is about here! All the staff is more than pleasant! They are so warm and they are doing all they can to make you feel spoiled. Very good dinner and breakfast too! They are some kind of independent manufacturer... roasted coffee locally is an example! BUT the cakes!!! Definitely the cakes are one of the best in the region!

... it was a windy night and after a long trip in december.... we would like the room to be a little bit warmer... but it doesn't mean it was cold inside... just a personal feeling

Great location (just in front of Rathaus in the old town, 10 min on foot to the abbey, in the heart of the beautiful old town with many restaurants, shops and ice cream shops), very kind and helpful staff during the whole stay, parking in the inner yard (5 parking spaces + space for bicycles), great breakfast served from 7.30h till 10h. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. It was a lovely city and a lively hotel for one night stop on our way home.

Breakfast was very good, varied, and fresh. Apple strudel and coffee were fantastic. The room was good size but a bit cold at night. Shower linen and towels good. Shower hair and body wash too small, no glasses/cup provided. The location is top, Parking a bit tight but was very useful (partly sheltered) and on-premises - it was raining. Very courteous staff. Melk is a lovely, old, and well-kept small village.

The room was a bit cold, at night only. We would have loved a small kettle and a cup or 2 for our late evening tea.

So we were in room 7 at the very top of the stairs. The room is at the back of the building and the windows look out to see the Abbey, which is fabulous to see. The room is spacious enough, good bathroom facilities too.

Our only 2 room issues are: 1. no air con for those hectically hot days. 2. The noise coming from everything going on below the room. There is a driveway access to the building found at the rear. Late at night, at sleeping time, the noise varied between loud talking, car noise, kitchen noises. Otherwise our stay was marvelous. Huge thanks.

The location was great! The view was so beautiful from our window. It was right by the Abby so that was nice to just walk there. It’s above a restaurant so that was convenient and the food was good. They provided breakfast, which I appreciate. The owner was so nice and very helpful.

There was a festival and some construction so trying to get there to park was awful. I had to drive across a platz full of pedestrians and people selling things in booths. It was so embarrassing. Then trying to get in the tiny driveway to park was nerve wracking in a rental. At least they provided parking. That was nice.

Beautiful location, in the pedestrian area opposite the town hall, in a historic building. Clean, parking and breakfast included, pet friendly with a fee of 8 euros/day.

A refrigerator in the room is recommended

Fantastic localization - 5 minutes walk to the Melk Stift. The center of Melk's Old Town. Excellent breakfast. Very good vines from own shop. The house ca. 400-500 years old. On some maps from ca. 1700 being exposed in the Melk Stift, the house is visible looking as it is now. Melk is a very good starting point for the whole Wachau district (bicycle, car, ship).

The hotel offers ca. 4 parking places behind the house. It is difficult to enter and exit, however, there are other parking possibilities in the town as well.
