Room, Area, Service, Staff, Cleanliness, Breakfast, and almost everything! JUST PERFECT.

Access to the hotel! It is very easy to drive there, but as a solo traveler who went there by bus, it was a nightmare for me. It was direct from Salzburg's central station to the nearest bus stop, which is about 500 meters away from the hotel. But you must pass an underground passage with 100% darkness when it gets dark. Considering you get off the bus in an area with no light, you must carry your luggage and have your mobile-phone light on to see your way until you reach the hotel. It was a very stressful frightening situation. I think they should give a warning beforehand or do something about the darkness on their guest's way to the hotel.

The is the second time we stayed here for an extended period of time (8 nights). We were accommodated in a spacious Studio room. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotless clean. The bathroom amenities were of good quality. Spacious parking right outside the hotel. The breakfast: During our summer vacation 2023 we have stayed at more than 10 different hotels. The breakfast buffet at Essigmanngut is second to none, it is by far the most superior breakfast experience we have had. Also the coffee/espresso machines and juice dispensers are state of the art. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly.

A non-smoking policy on the shared balconies should be enforced.

The property was very modern and clean. The breakfast was amazing and had a lot of options to choose from. There was a play area for my kids which they looked forward to playing in everyday. The location was also great, it was only about a 20 min drive to Salzburg. The owner was also great with my kids and gave them games to play so they wouldn’t get bored

Really nothing. Our room was on the smaller side for my husband and two kids, but that was it the property’s fault. We had to book the hotel last minute due to unforeseen circumstances with another hotel, so next time we would for sure book a larger room

Very clean and comfortable. Great staff and excelent breakfast! Elegant, quiet, in nature, parking available and free. I highly recomend.

Extremely comfortable hotel in a beautiful location, with the most outstanding breakfast and exceptional reception service. We were team from Singapore (28 people) coming to compete at an underwater rugby tournament in Salzburg. The hotel was a convenient 8 minute drive from the tournament pool. We were able to book a combination of 5 family rooms (double beds and bunk beds), 1 family studio (includes kitchenette), 1 comfort studio (fits 3 pax) and 2 double rooms. So grateful to the team at Hotel Das Essigmanngut for being so welcoming and helpful, especially Irina! First she helped us with receiving two large parcels (containing an order of our national team swimsuits), then she helped to suggest restaurants for dinner nearby (all less than 10min drive) and made bookings for our large group at our requested time. We had asked what time breakfast would be available as we had an early start (needed to leave by 7am Saturday) and though they initially told us breakfast would only start at 6:30am but they could bring out the cold dishes at 6:00am, on the actually Saturday, we came down at 6:00am to warm dishes already being served! Such service. Everyone LOVED the breakfast - such fresh ingredients and so much variety. Cannot ask for more to fuel ourselves for the competition. The hotel also had a lot of public spaces available where we could congregate as a large group to talk together, including the dining area that was free to sit at anytime, the outside terrace, and a first floor sitting area. Parking was free and convenient for us with all the cars we had to move the group from place to place. I cannot recommend Hotel Das Essigmanngut more - great value for money. Will be back!

Very minor thing but would like the pillows to be fuller and mattress to be firmer. They were a little too soft for most of us.

This was our third 10-day stay at "Das Essigmanngut". We were accommodated in a spacious suite room. The three beds were very comfortable. Shower/bathroom was clean and functional. The kitchenette functional and clean. The daily highlight once again was the marvellous breakfast. It features a very large selection of dishes, freshly prepared at high quality. Delicious coffee options. Very kind and helpful service staff at breakfast. Also the staff at the reception, including the manager/owner were very pleasant, flexible and most helpful. We are looking forward to our next visit to Salzburg and will most certainly stay here again.

PRO: The room was very clean and modern furnished. The park lot has more than enough space for all the visitors. Fantastic breakfast, very diverse and dishes being refilled all the time. Great communication with the manager, small problems solved quickly and in a professional manner. Ours was not having a room with a balcony. In less than an hour we've had one. Well insulated and soundproof rooms.

AGAINST: It seems to be a little far from everything if you just want to walk to a shop or a restaurant. But with a car you get to a nearby shop in less than 5 minutes. Close to the highway and the traffic noise. If you close the window and the door, you won't hear a thing, but if you decide to open one of them over the night, you'll get some noise.

Great location. It takes only 15 minutes by car from Salzburg, but not so expensive as city hotels. Excellent breakfast!

The pillow was too low for me. Would be great to have an extra pillow.

Very good breakfast, very good juice selection, good location near the highway, two paper cups in room which were packaged - we really liked this, very hygienic, the bed was clean. Cute hotel and outside there is a playground for children, that's very nice.

It was very hot in the room. The room doesn't have AC, but they have a ventilator, so it did what it could during the heat wave. :) There was some hair in the shower cabin and the toilet wasn't the most clean, there were finger prints on the doors to open the bathroom, but everything else were clean enough. From rates we've seen for clean, maybe we expected, that it would be more clean. It wasn't bad, but not the best, not from the expectation we had for clean.

One of the best family run restaurants around and the attention to detail in and around the hotel was very nice. A lot of trouble has been taken by the family to make one feel at home in every way possible. There is ample parking, rooms are nice and comfortable as well. We even extended our stay by a day given the location, the comfort and the quality of the hotel. It's the family that owns it, runs it and even works there at times .... is the difference.

Housekeeping was one area that we found a bit lacking as there was always something left undone/incomplete. The breakfast was good too but here again the staff seems to be letting the management down would have been nice to see a few more pleasant faces around the breakfast area. On one occassion on asking for something to be replenished one was informed curtly that everything will be replenished if it isn't there (which it was but the response was surprising). Was all this enough to make us not want to go back? Surely not but we certainly hope this is one thing that will change in the future.
